Kei Nishikori is a professional tennis player born in 1989 in Matsue City (松江市, Matsue-Shi), Shimane Prefecture (島根県, Shimane-Ken), in Japan's Chugoku Region.

He's 178 cm (5.8 ft.) tall, weighs 75 kg (165 lbs), and became a professional player in 2007, at the age of 17.
At the age of 18, he won the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, became only the second Japanese men's singles champion on the tour in history, after Shuzo Matsuoka.
In 2016, he became a men’s tennis singles bronze medalist at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics and received the first medal in 96 years as a Japanese player in tennis competitions.

In 2019, he won the Brisbane International for the first time in 3 years, and ranked 28th on the “World Fame 100” that same year.
