The Mori Art Museum is a new museum that was built in 2016.
Founded as a private museum by its director, Tadayuki Mori, who enjoyed collecting paintings, the Mori Art Museum, along with the Cornell Museum of Art and the Chiba City Museum of Art, has become a place of relaxation for the citizens of Nagareyama, Chiba.
The Mori Art Museum
The Mori Art Museum is a small rectangular building designed entirely out of concrete, located in a lush green wooded area in Nagareyama City.

Director Tadayuki Mori founded the museum with the aim of contributing to the cultural and artistic activities of the community.
The Mori Art Museum is a small-scale museum; however, it has many wonderful, carefully selected works on display.
After enjoying the artworks in the exhibition room, you can enjoy a lovely afternoon tea session while gazing at the atmospheric garden. This space can be seen at 1:22 in the video.
Works on Display at the Mori Art Museum
Young artist Daiki Yamamoto's works, such as "in Ilence," which is introduced at 3:50 in the video, are characterized by a realism that sometimes gets them mistaken for photographs.
There are many other beautiful landscapes and oil genre paintings that will take your breath away.

The work depicting the ruins, which can be seen at 5:48 in the video, is one of the many hyper-realistic paintings.
More than 20 oil paintings of landscapes and portraits are regularly on display at the Mori Art Museum.
In addition to the permanent collection, the museum also hosts three to four special exhibitions, as well as public and private exhibitions 3-4 times a year.
