🌸✨[Notice of the Hyuga Yakushi Spring Grand Festival]✨🌸
This year’s Spring Grand Festival, which heralds the arrival of spring at Hyuga Yakushi, will be held again!
🗓 Date and time: Tuesday, April 15, 9:00–17:00
🎫 Admission: 300 yen for adults (event held rain or shine)
📍Location: Hyuga Yakushi temple grounds
🔶 Main image revealed to the public (this will be the final public viewing this year)
🔶 Prayer reception: 9:00–16:30 (at the treasure hall) ※No reservation required
Pray for good health and household safety in the new fiscal year.
🔶 Shigi tree climb and fire-walking: scheduled to begin around 13:00 (※Cancelled in case of rain)
Please witness this solemn ritual, which passes ancient faith into the present, with your own eyes.
※If the event is cancelled due to weather, notice will be posted on the Hyuga Yakushi official website by around 9:00 on the day.

- From Isehara Station north exit, take the Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu bus bound for Hyuga Yakushi and get off at the final stop (about 25 minutes)
- About a 10-minute walk from the bus stop

✨[Oyama Temple 1270th Anniversary: Special Exhibition of Hidden Buddhist Images]✨
This year marks the 1,270th anniversary of Oyama Temple’s founding. To celebrate, starting tomorrow the temple will hold a special exhibition of the normally hidden images “Three-Faced Daikokuten” and “Aizen Myo-o.”
This is a rare chance to view these precious hidden icons, on display for the first time in ten years. Please take this opportunity to visit Oyama Temple.

In Isehara, beautiful spring blossoms are coming into full view one after another.✨
There are plenty of spots to look forward to enjoying even more soon!
* Mishima Shrine (Zenba 714)
The weeping cherry trees are about half in bloom.
* Ooyama Shindo (Ooyama New Road)
The deep-pink Okame cherry trees are at their peak.
* Maruyama Castle Ruins Park (Shimokasuya 2168-2)
The almond trees below the park are about 60% in bloom. Their pale pink hues announce the arrival of spring.
* The canola field behind Akazato-en in the Zenba area
This year it is slower than usual,
but a steady yellow carpet is starting to spread!
We can’t wait for it to reach full bloom.💛
※ Visitors may use the Akazato-en and Mitake-en parking lots,
but please speak to staff first.

Yesterday, Tuesday, March 18, the kawazu cherry blossoms along the Shibuda River created a beautiful collaboration with Ooyama✨

Hosenji Temple 4th “Hanamatsuri”
At last, tomorrow, Thursday, March 20, Hosenji will hold the 4th “Hanamatsuri” to celebrate the birth of Buddha.
Enjoy the handmade hanamido (flower shrine) filled with beautiful blooms, the gentle scent of amazakecha (sweet tea), and a heartwarming memorial service.
We will offer special goshuin and shuin unique to the Hanamatsuri.
The first 100 visitors will receive a kirie (paper-cut) gift, and there will be rakugo storytelling by Kitaro Mukashi Mukashi-tei, a rakugo performer from Isehara, among other attractions.
There are many more events planned.
Please invite friends and family and join us for worship.

Please bring one flower to offer to the Buddha.
