This is the state of the hydrangeas along the Hinata no Hikage Path.
Compared with last week, there are more blooms and the colors are more vivid.
When you visit, please bring salt or repellents as leeches (yamabiru) appear on the shaded path and take precautions.

Here is the state of the hydrangeas along the Hinata no Hikagemichi (Sun-to-Shade Path).
Some hydrangeas have begun to bloom, but most still lack color and there are few flowers, so
the best viewing period looks to be a little further ahead.
Yawamushi (mountain leeches) appear on the shaded path, so please bring salt or repellents and take precautions.

This weekend, at Sannomiya Hibita Shrine, where fresh green leaves shine, a festival blends ancient romance with modern liveliness.
Feel the breath of antiquity and enjoy a special time with family and friends.

🎭 Stage Offerings
A variety of performances will appear on a special stage, including iaido and kendo, taisho-koto, classical Japanese dance, shigin (recited poetry), taiko drumming, kids' dance, popular music stages, folk songs, yosakoi, and jazz.
🕯️ Special Program
On Saturday the 24th from 5:10 PM to 6:30 PM, an evening of court music and bugaku (gagaku dance) will grace the shrine grounds with elegant sounds and dance.

Magatama-making experience (materials fee required)
Special exhibition of archaeological materials at the Sannomiya Local Museum (including designated cultural properties)
A lively enjoyment area featuring local farm produce sales, food trucks, and festival stalls!

May 3 (Sat) Seihou Fudoson — Temple Opening
The annual temple opening will take place at Seihou Fudoson in the Hikita district of Isehara City.
Time: 10:00 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m.
On this day, the doors of the main hall, usually kept closed, are opened, offering a rare chance to view the figure of Seihou Fudo.
The temple’s mysterious presence and quiet atmosphere continue to move visitors deeply, even today.
Surrounded by May’s fresh green foliage, why not take a short trip to touch history and faith?
📍Access: From Isehara Station North Exit, take Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu bus platform 1 toward Kurihara, about 20 minutes; get off near Hokokuji and walk 60 minutes.

The annual grand festival of Hibita Shrine is approaching. This year’s festival will be held tomorrow on the following schedule.
Saturday, April 26: Shinkosai (Divine Procession)
12:50: Youth shrine duty
13:10: Mikoshi procession
14:00: Crossing at Kanbe
14:25: Arrival at the temporary imperial station for ritual
15:00: Departure of the portable shrine from the temporary imperial station
16:00: Sannomiya crossing
17:10: Return to the shrine, chimaki ceremony, and enshrinement ritual
13:30–15:00: Satokagura dedication (Sagami Satokagura Kakizawa Troupe Mizuki-kai)
A vigorous mikoshi procession and the parade of three ningyo‑dashi (doll floats) will color the festival. Please join us and bring your friends and family to visit.

🌸✨[Notice: Sugiyama Construction Azalea Garden Open to the Public]✨🌸
Sugiyama Construction’s azalea garden in San-no-miya, Isehara City, will open to the public again this year.
🌺 On about 1,500 tsubo (approx. 4,958 square meters), more than 1,000 azalea shrubs in 50 varieties will be in full bloom. You can also enjoy views from the hilltop overlooking MtOoyama and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji.

🌸 Shibazakura Festival Now Open! 🌸
The Shibazakura Festival is taking place along the Shibuda River in Isehara City!
Red, white, and pink moss phlox paint the riverside slopes, joining the Somei-Yoshino cherry trees to create a spring-only landscape.
This spectacular view is one of Kanagawa Prefecture’s 100 Notable Flower Spots.
