【Hiraide Ruins】
National Historic Site Hiraide Ruins is a major Ruins that counts among the Japan's Three Great Ruins. About 2 Kilometers southwest of Shiojiri Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, it is Located in "Chinese bellflower", where vineyards spread all over. The Ruins are widely spread along the Shibu River, which streams from the Hiraide spring, in a strip of about 1 Kilometers from east to west and 300 Meters from north to south.

As a result of full-scale excavations that began in Showa 25, it was found that the Period when people lived at the Hiraide Ruins ranged from the Jomon period to the Heian period.
The remains of dwellings and many relics associated with them were excavated, and these abundant artifacts became basic Documents for researching the prehistoric and ancient culture of this area, and were designated as a "National Historic Site" in Showa 27. In addition, excavations have been carried out since then, and the remains of more than 290 dwellings and buildings have been found to date.

Focusing on clay figurines, Earthenware, Stoneware, and ironware excavated from the Hiraide Ruins, artifacts excavated from Ruins in the city are exhibited. Among them, the prefectural treasures "Green Glazed Water Bottle", "Shibamiya Copper Bell", "Irisawa Tile Tower", and "Shinshu's characteristic Jomon Earthenware" are must see.

In the vicinity of the Museum, there is a group of Hiraide Kofun Tumulus with three Kofun Tumulus that are thought to have belonged to an influential person who ruled There are village of Hirade. ◇Hiraide Ruins Park
The "Hiraide Ruins Park", which has been restored under the theme of "5,000 years of Hiraide land" by the mura of the three eras of the Jomon, Kofun Tumulus, and Heian periods, has 15 restored dwellings and buildings, Restrooms available you can actually go inside.
Each of the three periods of dwellings of the Jomon, Yayoi, and Heian periods is Reproduction, and you can directly experience the changes in the structure of the houses and the changes in materials, and you can feel how people's lives have changed with the changing times.

Use a facility with a guidance corner, a rest corner, an observation room, etc., where users can relax and learn about the Hiraide Ruins.
