Black hair buried Torii (shrine gate) 2019.04.30
The massive explosion of Sakurajima on January 12, 1914, 1914 (Taisho 3) filled the Kurogami area with volcanic ash and pumice. The Torii (shrine gate) gate of the Beli Gosha Shrine (Kurokami Shrine), which was 3 meters high, was so terrible that it was buried, leaving only Kasagi. The Torii (shrine gate) gate has become less than the height of a person, but the mayor of Higashi-Sakurajima Village at the time stopped digging it up to convey the threat of Eruption to future generations, so it remains in its original form to the present day.
The Torii (shrine gate) gate of the buried Kurokami Shrine and the gatepost of the Nagano clan house were designated as natural monuments of the prefecture on April 28, 1958 (Showa 33). Next door, an old Akou tree that miraculously survived stands quietly.

Dawn of Bridge Pile Rock 2023.09.17
There were clouds on the Horizon and it was not a dharma, but it was a beautiful dawn.
Bridge pile rock
Due to the erosion of the sea, only the hard part of the rock remains, and the Strange Rock, which looks as if only the piles of the bridge are standing, has a legend that a long time ago, Kobo Daishi and the demons of heaven made a bet and built it overnight.

Baekje Temple 2023.06.23
The fresh greenery was beautiful.
It is located east of Lake Biwa and on the western slopes of the Suzuka Mountains. According to the temple legend, it was built in the 14th year of Emperor Suiko (606) by Prince Shotoku. When Prince Shotoku came to this place with the Goryeo monk Huiji, who was visiting at the time, he saw a mysterious light in the mountains. When I went to visit the source of the light, I found that it was a cedar tree. The prince carved the cedar as a standing tree with roots to make an eleven-sided Kannon statue (Ueki Kannon) and built a hall around the statue. This is said to be the beginning of Baekje Temple, and it is said that the temple was built after Yongunji Temple in Baekje, so it was named Baekje Temple.

Koiwai Farm 100 Years of Forest
There are tours that allow you to enter places that you would not normally be able to enter.
In front of the wasteland at the southern foot of Mt. of Iwate, Koiwai Farm is said to have been filled with regret for destroying many "beautiful rice fields and good fields" during his many years of involvement in the railway construction project. If this kind of wilderness is left untouched, I would like to at least make up for the loss of beautiful countryside by clearing it and opening up large farms. Isn't that what I should do for the public good? Inoue thinks so.
Inoue confided in Yoshima Ono, who had supported Mitsubishi under Yataro Iwasaki, and asked for his help. At that time, Mitsubishi's younger brother, Yanosuke Iwasaki, was the second president of Mitsubishi after Yataro's death. Yoshima Ono immediately brings Inoue and Yanosuke together. It is said that Yanosuke was impressed by Inoue's lofty desire to open a farm in the wasteland for the national public, and readily agreed to invest on the spot. Thus, on January 1, 1891 (Meiji 24)), Inoue became the owner of the farm and Koiwai Farm was opened. The name Koiwai was created by taking one letter each from the surnames of Ono, Iwasaki, and Inoue.
That's it.
There is a 100-year-old forest in it. This forest is there to grow 99-year-old cedars.
