It is the tourist association "Lake Mashu Tourism Association" in Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido, where Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo, which are popular tourist spots in Hokkaido, are located.
The surface of Lake Mashu boasts the world's most transparent surface, and the magnificent nature of Lake Kussharo, which is also the largest caldera lake in the Japan (a lake with water accumulated in the crater of a volcano)!
We will send out the charm of Teshikaga Town that we would like many people to know, so thank you!

Of the four passes offering views of Lake Kussharo, the most famous is Bihoro Pass.
Called a "spectacular view of the nation," it offers a breathtaking, grand panorama of beautiful Lake Kussharo. The morning sea of clouds and the New Year’s sunrise are both dramatic, making this one of Japan’s premier panoramic viewpoints.

Wakoto Peninsula is a caldera experience spot where forest and lake weave together. This peninsula juts out from the south side of Lake Kussharo, and its surroundings are geothermally warm, creating the curious effect of staying unfrozen even in winter.
In this piece, we introduce Wakoto Peninsula, a rare environment in Japan.

The famed hot spring Kawayu Onsen draws its waters from MtAtosanupuri, a name that means “naked mountain” in the Ainu language. True to its name, the mountain’s slopes lack trees, and steam billows from vents with a thunderous roar, creating a dramatic sight. Getting as close as possible to view the fumaroles adds to the sense of occasion.
Here we introduce Mt. Io (Atosanupuri), a designated natural sightseeing feature of Teshikagacho.
