【Announcement of Lecture - Kawayu Visitor Center】
On Saturday, June 20th, we will host a lecture by Masashi Ohara, an emeritus professor at Hokkaido University, titled "The Life History of the Giant Lily - A Unique Life History of the Giant Lily."
Additionally, from June 20th to July 20th, a special exhibition co-hosted by the Ministry of the Environment will take place at the Kawayu Visitor Center. Titled "A Journey at 3 km/h - Walking the Eastern Trail of Hokkaido," this exhibition will explore the allure of the long trail that just opened in October 2024.🚶♂️💨✨

【Tsutsujigahara Morning Walking Tour Starts!】
The season of the blooming Ezo Iso Tsutsuji has arrived. Would you like to take a stroll through Tsutsujigahara, connecting Kawayu Onsen and Mt. Io? The "Tsutsujigahara Morning Walking Tour," where you can observe the Ezo Iso Tsutsuji that will soon be at its peak, is starting! Since the course begins from Kawayu Onsen, you can enjoy the walk on the morning after staying in the hot spring town.
<Guide to Tsutsujigahara Nature Trail>
■Period: June 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025
■Time: Every morning at 6:00 AM (Total duration about 1 hour) Meeting at 5:55 AM, Departure at 6:00 AM. *Cancelled in case of rain
■Participation Fee: 500 yen for elementary school students and above (free for infants) *Cash payment at the venue
■Meeting Place: In front of Taiho Sumo Memorial Museum
■Application: Please fill out the application form by 7:00 PM the day before, including:

The Junmai Kan Sake Enjoyment Event in Kawayu Onsen is confirmed!
The Junmai Kan Sake Enjoyment Event in Kawayu Onsen will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Kawayu Kanko Hotel Convention Hall Laputa. Many famous breweries will gather for this event to enjoy junmai kan sake. The fee is 7,500 yen per person, and ticket sales will end on June 13. Please note that sales will close when the capacity is reached, even before the deadline, so act quickly.
Hot springs, warm sake, and delicious food.
