[Marigold dyeing] One day in March. In tree education for nursery school children A dyeing experience was taking place. If you boil down the marigolds Water, which was transparent, will become colored. Children entangle plastic bottle caps in cloth I was tying it up with a rubber band. Then, the strangely shaped cloth is thrown into the pot one after another. After the time has elapsed, remove from the pan If you put "magic powder" in a dissolved liquid... Gari is a cloth dyed in a gentle yellow color. The marks of the cap and rubber band are nicely patterned. Original dyed cloth is ready. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Flowers #Dried Flowers #Dyeing #Kiiku

[I went to the Saijo Shibetsu store! ] 】 The Saijo Shibetsu store is holding a birthday celebration to celebrate its 28th anniversary! For two days during that period, wooden toys from Nishiokoppe Village I was allowed to put it in the Special venue on the first floor. What I brought from the forest art museum "Komu" There is a "wooden sandbox" with hundreds of wooden balls, wooden puzzles, cars, and the Miracle CoroCoro Tower where you can enjoy rolling marbles. Held in castanet-making Workshop in one corner of the venue! It was a two-day event that was soothed by the voices of the children who came to play and the warm sound of wooden balls touching each other. Next to the Nishiokoppe Village booth is a croquette shop from Bifuka. The potato and pumpkin croquettes were both delicious! It was super crispy. And Setoushi-kun collaborates with Bifukun & Mifuka-chan! There were some children who were confused by the appearance of Yurukyara. It's always nice to have a child who is happy. Thank you to everyone who stopped by! Once again, congratulations on the 28th anniversary of Saijo Shibetsu! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Saijo Shibetsu #Birthday Celebration #Congratulations #Komu Museum of Art #Leather Craft #Sales of Specialty products #Setoushi-kun #Beauty Deep #Mifuka-chan

[Woodworking instructor and box making] It was held at a child-rearing support center Box-making class by woodworking instructors. This is a woodworking instructor who came to Nishiokoppe Village from April last year. We often meet and talk Since there are not many opportunities to witness woodworking instruction, I decided to Visiting the site of a box-making class. The necessary materials and tools are wooden boards, woodworking bonds, nails, and genno. The box is the perfect size for a pen stand. The four planks on the sides have grooves to fit the bottom plate. Moreover, there was even a hole for the nail in the place where the nail was hammered. (Squid with this hole, you can see where to drive it & the nail is stable, so it is easy to drive) Even if it is a simple box, without such care It makes a big difference in how easy it is to work. This time, I made a box that dared to go through the process of hammering nails so that I could get used to handling the genkan. When the boards are bonded together to form a box, nails are hammered to fix the boards together. It is quite difficult to hammer the nails straight and to hammer the boards so that they do not shift from each other. The woodworking instructor did it lightly, "Ton, ton, ton," so I was watching it while thinking that it was really good. Somukan (Workshop that Village residents can use for free!) ) and finish such as sanding, and you're done. Scenes of the box-making class. ***** 2/1 (Sat) ~ 2/28 (Fri) will Held in the 28th Woody Winter School! More on that in another posted 📢 #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Woodworking #Kiiku #Woodworking class #Woodworking instructor #Child-rearing support #Gen Xiang #I've always called it a hammer or a hammer #Woody Winter School

【Making miso】 The other day, I witnessed the making of miso. There were people making miso for their own eating, and it was a small gathering of local Adult and children from the nursery school. At the nursery school in Nishiokoppe Village, vegetables are grown in the field. Some of the crops we grew this year were soybeans. "Miso is made from soybeans, isn't it?" "What else is made of soybeans?" Picture book while reading Combined with our own experience, we think about soybeans and miso. How to get started Crush the soybeans that have been boiled beforehand. Put the soybeans in the mincer When you turn the handle around, the beans become a paste. There are also those who hold down the foundation of the mincer Turning the steering wheel is also a very force-intensive task. The little makers crush the beans with great force and effort. Mix salt and glue, mix in soybeans Throw the miso dama you made into the barrel. The beans that were shiny and sparkling Over the course of about an hour and a half, it became smoother. From the time you make miso to the time you eat it It would take more than six months. In the gentle mellow aroma of soybeans Do you want to keep it until next year? Or so I thought. One of the students brought us the miso we had prepared last year, so we all had miso soup. For me, it was a matter of course to buy miso. It makes me realize that I have the option of "creating" by myself. For the miso prepared this year Let them get a good night's sleep until next year. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Miso making #Miso #Tezukuri #Nursery school #Soybean #Field #Tree education #Miso soup

【Snow-covered Miya Forest】 Over the course of a few days, the depth of the snow increased in the Miya Forest. While assisting the tree education project promoter, I took a short walk in the Miya Forest. I walk, drenched in snow, burying my feet in boots. If I were alone, I would only look at my feet. When I looked up after being called out, I found a bud of flowers and leaves. It has sprouted and is waiting for the long winter to pass. A gaping hole in the trunk. I wonder if anyone lives there, or if they did. I was told that the reason why the Todo pine tree is cracking is because of the "freeze". The water in the tree freezes and expands, causing the trunk to crack. It is said that when a crack appears in the trunk, a clear sound reverberates throughout the forest. Walk next to the deer's footprints Pick up fruits and flowers that fall on the snow. The snow-covered towns seen from a slightly higher place was also my favorite view. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Winter #Snow #Snow #Miyanomori #Kiiku #Kobushi #Yachidamo #Todomatsu #Shika

[Making things using raw wood] freshly cut, undried wood, Cracking, scraping, carving... The shape is ready. Mariko Kusakari came from Hakodate again this year A Greenwood Work course was held at the Komu Museum of Art. I participated in a course on making mini plates! What each one wants to make Considering the diameter of the trunk, the first step is to choose a tree. The participants in the mini dish making chose There are three types: willow, birch and hoo. When you split the wood, you can see that the center is moist and moist. Hoo Aroma of good wood! It was like that Aroma like fermentation smell from the cut of the willow. While using tools such as sharpening horses, sen, knives, etc. Cut to your favorite thickness and carved to depth. I rounded the corners of my plate. The work that left the corner Gari is also wonderful, It was fun to look at the plates made by the other participants. If you are familiar with it, it is a long and thin plate with three holes carved into it. I was impressed with the dexterity. I think it would be nice if I could dry it carefully and use it for a long time~. Thank you for your time! #Nishiokoppe Village #Kimu #Green Wood Work #Lecture #Raw wood #Bean plate #Mini dish #Pencil case #Place an eyeglass holder #Put fruit on it and #Trees cut by people you tend to encounter during walks
