The 34th Magatama Festival
On Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26, a festival of culture and the arts took place at Sannomiya Hibita Shrine.
On a special stage in the shrine grounds, events such as traditional Japanese dance, iai sword-drawing demonstrations, kendo demonstrations, and magatama (bead) making workshops drew lively crowds, alongside stalls selling local farm produce and food trucks.
Kururin tried the raffle where Kururin goods could be won,
and won a Kururin memo pad!
At the first day's Evening of Wind and Gagaku, attendees were captivated by elegant dances accompanied by wind instruments.

We apologize for the inconvenience to anyone planning a trip on the dates below, and ask for your cooperation.

Monday, June 10, 2024 – Wednesday, June 12, 2024 (8 days)
The cable car will operate normally on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.
During the suspension, please use the Onnazaka hiking trail to reach Ooyamadera Temple and Afuri Shrine Lower Shrine.
It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Ooyama Cable Station to Ooyamadera Temple.
It takes about 40 minutes to reach Afuri Shrine Lower Shrine.
Note: You cannot reach Ooyamadera Temple via Otokozaka (the steep route).

On May 5, at Kamisoriyama in Oiso Town and other locations, the Sagami Kōno Festival (Kō no Machi) brought together six shrines from the former Sagami Province, including Isehara's Sannomiya Hikita Shrine.
