Ryogenji Temple, which was built as a family temple of Honda Tadakatsu, was opened in the 4th year of Bunroku (1595) by inviting the Ryōgakujin of Shimousa Kogane Tojoji Temple. At first, it was called Ryoshinji, but during the Masatomo Dynasty, it became Ryogenji after Tadakatsu's commandment.
There are also the graves of Honda Tadakatsu, Mrs. Tadakatsu, and Tadatomo. Tadakatsu and Tadatomo were divided and this tomb was erected.
