Additionally, you will experience mochi-tsuki (mochi pounding), a traditional Japanese ritual where mochi is pounded as an offering to the gods. You will make and eat anko mochi (mochi with red bean paste) and ozoni (mochi soup) yourself. Mochi-tsuki is a traditional Japanese ritual where gratitude is offered to the gods and their power is shared.
