【2025 Picking bamboo shoots, bamboo felling and crushing work】
Preparations are underway at the park for the Implementation of Picking Bamboo Shoots again this year.
The day before yesterday, bamboo felling and crushing work was carried out.
Logging work is done to thin out old bamboo and expose sunlight to the ground surface. (Bamboo shoot requires an increase in geothermal heat)
After felling bamboo, the branches and leaves are removed and put through a crusher to make bamboo chips.
Bamboo chips can be made into compost by sprinkling them on the ground. This improves the nutritional status of the soil, which leads to the production of more delicious Bamboo shoots.
Picking bamboo shoots this year are currently being prepared for implementation.
Held in period is under consideration, but it is expected to be "around mid-April ~ early May".
Details will be opened to the public of the Toyooka Tourism Association (Toyooka Travel Time) Home page, so please take a look.
