A Snowy Ohara Sanzenin Temple, Kyoto: Video Introduction This video, titled "[4K] Snowing Sanzenin Temple, Ohara, Kyoto | The Garden of Kyoto Japan" ([4K] 三千院・雪 京都大原 京都の庭園 Sanzenin Temple in Snow [4K] The Garden of Kyoto Japan), was uploaded by "Yurara Sarara." Ohara, hidden in the mountains of Kyoto, is the birthplace of Oharame (大原女, lit. "Woman of Ohara"), women from the town of Ohara who peddled firewood hundreds of years ago in Japan. Once known as a place to spend a secluded life, it's home to many ancient temples. This is where Ohara Sanzenin Temple resides. In the summer, people can enjoy the fresh greenery of the moss and Japanese maple leaves. But in winter, it changes completely. Everything is covered with snow, and it becomes incredibly quiet and peaceful. Historical buildings like the Kyakuden (客殿, reception hall), Shinden, and Ojo Gokurakuin (Amida Hall) give visitors a glimpse into Japan's wabi-sabi culture. Be sure to check out Ohara Sanzenin Temple during winter in the video! Senzenin Temple – Religion, Characteristics, and More Photo:Sanzenin Temple, Sakyo, Kyoto Sanzenin Temple is located in Ohara, Kyoto, in Japan's Kansai region. It is a Tendai sect temple started by the Japanese Buddhist monk Dengyo Daishi Saicho. The principal image of the temple is Yakushi Nyorai (Bhaisajyaguru, the Healing Buddha). It's said that the origin of Sanzenin Temple is Enyu-bo Temple, built on Mt. Hiei around the 8th century. After many transfers, it finally moved to Ohara in 1871. People began calling it "Sanzenin" after it came to Ohara, but originally it was called "Enyu-in" (Enyu-bo) or "Entoku-in." In the late Heian period (794 - 1185 AD), the imperial family began to live in the temple. Because of this, a member of Japan's imperial family has even been a chief priest of the temple. There are three temples of the Tendai sect (Sanmon school) whose chief priest belonged to Japan's imperial family: Shorenin, Myohoin, and Sanzenin. Sanzenin is the oldest of the three. As an ancient temple which has more than 1,200 years of history, it's a famous spot for travelers. Must-See Attractions at Sanzenin Temple on the Outskirts of Kyoto Photo:Jizo statues at Sanzenin Temple, Kyoto Highlights of Ohara Sanzenin Temple include the beautiful gardens, Shuheki-en and Yusei-en. Visitors can enjoy the relaxing views while drinking matcha in the Shoin (study). Through the trees, visitors can spot Ojo Gokurakuin Temple, an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The statue enshrined at Oujo Gokurakuin Temple is the National Treasure, Amida Sanzon. The image depicts the Amitabha Buddha and others coming to welcome believers from the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss at their time of death. In addition, the ceiling is decorated with extremely vivid paintings to represent Sukhavati, the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in Buddhism. Warabe Jizo statues, which can be encountered around the temple grounds, is also popular among visitors. In the video you can see a Warabe Jizo standing in the snow at Ohara Sanzenin Temple. [Video] 1:34 - "Warabe Jizo" Covered with Snow At Konjiki Fudo-do, you can receive a shuin stamp of Konjiki Fudo-do (the Hall of the Golden Acala), written with gold paint (limited to every 28th of the month or when the door of Konjiki Fudo-son is opened). The principal image of Ohara Sanzenin Temple is Yakushi Nyorai (Bhaisajyaguru, the Healing Buddha), and so the temple is said to protect against diseases. You can go there to pray for someone you care about. Autumn Leaves and Hydrangeas… The Seasonal Charms of Sanzenin Temple Photo:Autumn leaves at Sanzenin Temple, Kyoto At Ohara Sanzenin Temple, visitors can enjoy both snowy landscapes and beautiful scenery in each of Japan's four seasons. Starting in the middle of June, Ajisai-en, the hydrangea garden, is very popular due to the approximately 1,000 beautifully blooming hydrangeas. Especially popular are the star-shaped "shichidanka" hydrangeas, which are also referred to as "phantom hydrangeas" and are well worth seeing. In the summer, carpets of green moss and blue maple trees adds color to the surrounding area. In autumn, Ohara Sanzenin Temple is enveloped in beautiful autumn colors, creating a truly photogenic space. The colorful autumn foliage of Ohara Sanzenin Temple has even become famous in Japan. Even now, the temple is crowded with many tourists in autumn. Admission for all seasons is 700 yen for adults, and an additional 500 yen for those looking to participate in the tea ceremony. It takes about one hour to see everything that Ohara Sanzenin Temple has to offer. Take a leisurely stroll through the temple grounds and enjoy the seasons, and relax with a cup of green tea and traditional Japanese sweets while admiring the beautiful garden. Summary of Sanzenin Temple, Ohara, Kyoto Ohara Sanzenin Temple offers both scenic views and a pleasant silence as the snow falls steadily in the crisp winter air. Ohara Sanzenin Temple was also featured in a song by Duke Aces, a Japanese vocal quartet from 50s Japan, which led to the temple gaining in popularity. The nearby area is also full of historical sites for visitors to explore. Having 1200 years of history, Ohara Sanzenin Temple has seen many events throughout the years. Winter is a mysterious time of year that brings both beauty and a sense of loneliness to people's hearts. If you watch the video, you'll be surprised by the natural beauty of greenery that you couldn't possibly attribute to Tokyo. Akiruno is recommended as a place to relax and get away from the crowds. This article introduces sightseeing spots in Akiruno where you can enjoy nature, history, culture and delicious food. More About Akiruno, Tokyo Source :YouTube screenshot Akiruno, Tokyo is a place rich with nature, about 40 to 50 km west of central Tokyo. With a population of about 80,600 (March, 2020), the climate is colder than in central Tokyo, and the altitude is high, so the area is not so hot in the summer. Akigawa and Itsukaichi merged in 1995 to form Akiruno. The name of the city is derived from the fact that "Akiru Shrine" was located in the former town of Itsukaichi. It is a recommended travel destination for those who are tired of urban life, and has places such as instagram spots and stylish cafes that can be seen in the video. Photo:Yozawa River Speaking of Akiruno's symbol, the clear stream Akigawa, the largest tributary of the Tama River, definitely comes to mind. It flows about 20 km from Hinohara Village to Akiruno, and the surrounding scenery is superb. You can see various landscapes depending on the season, such as fresh greenery in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall. In addition, Ishibune Bridge in the Akigawa Valley is one of the places to see when you go to Akiruno. It is a must-go-to location for checking out the scenery of the river and the autumn leaves that you can see from the top of Ishibune Bridge. The lush nature of Akigawa and the surrounding area can be seen at 0:12 in this video. Akiruno is also famous for Shiroyama. Shiroyama in the Togura district, is a mountain that used to be called "Togura Castle". From the top of Shiroyama, if the weather is nice, you can see the city center, and you will be impressed by the superb view. Since the altitude is not high and it is a gentle mountain trail, it is also a recommended route for beginners climbing and hiking. In addition, "Yamasaki no Oukashi," "Itsukaichi Basin," "Otake Limestone Cave," and "Akirudai Park" are other recommended scenic spots. Information About Recommended Sightseeing Spots in Akiruno, Tokyo Source :YouTube screenshot One of the recommended spots when visiting Akiruno is Seotonoyu. Seotonoyu, located near the Akigawa Valley, is a popular hot spring facility surrounded by greenery. You can also enjoy a stunning view of Kaiyo Park from the bridge and the surrounding area. The Jogasaki Coast (城ヶ崎海岸, jougasakikaigan) was formed from the lava of an eruption which took place over 4,000 years ago at Mt. Omuro (大室山, oomuroyama), one of the volcanos in the Izu-Tobu volcano range (伊豆東部火山郡, izutoubukazangun). The corrosion caused by the lava created a sea cave known as "Hanshiro otoshi" (半四郎落し). The Kadowaki suspension bridge, which hangs between this sea cave and Kadowaki cape, is 48 meters in length and 23 meters high. The Kadowaki suspension bridge is also referred to as the Jogasaki suspension bridge, as it hangs above the Jogasaki Coast in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (富士箱根伊豆国立公園, fujihakoneizukokuritsukouen). It's popular with dog-walkers and hikers. A variety of fish can be caught at the nearby Futo Harbour (富戸漁港, futogyokou) and Uomigoya (魚見小屋, uomigoya). We highly recommend trying some fresh seafood dishes at the nearby restaurant Boranaya (ぼら納屋) as well! The Pampas Grass Field of Sengokuhara: Video Introduction This video, titled "Sengokuhara Pampas Grass Field - Kanagawa - 4K Ultra HD" (Sengokuhara Pampas Grass Field - Kanagawa - 仙石原すすき草原 - 4K Ultra HD), was uploaded by "TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful." Enjoy the beautiful 4K visuals and the sound of pampas grass swaying in the wind as if you were standing in the pampas grass field of Sengokuhara. Sengokuhara – A Famous Place for Viewing Pampas Grass in Hakone, Kanagawa Photo:The pampas grass field of Sengokuhara, Hakone The pampas grass field of Sengokuhara is located on Mt. Hakone in Kanagawa Prefecture, in Japan's Kanto region. It is one of the "Top 50 Scenic Spots in Kanagawa" and "Top 100 Places to View Flowers in Kanagawa," and is well known for its pampas grass. At the foot of Mt. Daigatake, which was formed by the eruption of Mt. Hakone, lies a field of pampas grass, and in autumn, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of golden plumes rippling in the wind. The fantastic scenery of the Sengokuhara pampas grass field has attracted a lot of attention and draws a large number of tourists every year. The Field of Pampas Grass in Hakone – When to See the Breathtaking Autumnal Scenery Photo:The walking path through the pampas grass field of Sengokuhara, Hakone The golden pampas grass in the field in Sengokuhara is at its best from late September to early November. The lush green tips of pampas grass turn a silvery-white, and as autumn deepens, the tips open up and turn a pale golden color. The beautiful golden color of the pampas grass field, which can only be seen during autumn in Japan, is a distinctive sight of autumn in Hakone. The main walking route for the pampas grass field is to go straight along the path and back, which takes about 30 minutes round-trip. The path through the grassy field is great for taking photos as well. [Video] 0:05 - Sengokuhara Pampas Grass Field Walking Path At the midpoint of the path, visitors can enjoy a lovely collaboration of mountains and the soft tips of the pampas grass. The view from the small hill in the middle of the path is another nice spot, perfect for taking pictures. The best times to visit are in the morning and at dusk, when there are few people around. The photogenic golden pampas grass glistening in the sunlight and the setting sun are guaranteed to be make for awesome photos for Instagrammers and photographers alike. The Pampas Grass Field of Sengokuhara During Summer Sengokuhara's pampas grass field is of course famous for its pampas grass in autumn, but other seasons also have their own unique charms. In early summer, around June, visitors can enjoy the lush green landscape of the meadow that has grown back after the annual burn in the spring. The sight of the newly sprouted green pampas grass swaying in the wind is a different aesthetic than that of autumn. The green pampas grass and blue skies are a perfect contrast, and photographers/Instagrammers can take some delightful photos during this time as well. Spring at Sengokuhara – A Fiery Event on the Pampas Grass Field In the pampas grass field of Sengokuhara, an event called Yamayaki is held from mid to late March every year. Yamayaki, meaning "Mountain burning," is an annual event to maintain the pampas grass field. By burning the dead grass, it prevents the growth of weeds in the field and helps to return the meadow to its youthful appearance. The event is held in the mild spring weather, and spectator seating is available as well. The crackling fire and the intense heat are definitely worth a trip to Hakone. How to Get to Sengokuhara's Pampas Grass Field + Parking & Lunch Photo:Hakone-Yumoto Station To get to Sengokuhara's pampas grass field, take the Hakone Tozan Bus bound for Togendai from Hakone-Yumoto Station and get off at Sengokogen (~30 mins). If going by car, free parking and paid parking are available in the immediate vicinity of the pampas grass field. A temporary free parking lot is also available from September 1 to November 30 every year during the pampas grass' peak viewing period. For lunch, we recommend trying the soba restaurant Hoshinoan (そば処 穂し乃庵, Soba-dokoro Hoshinoan) by the Sengokuhara pampas grass field. In the midst of the refreshing pampas grass field, you can enjoy the seasonal flavors and unique dishes made from the best ingredients while gazing out at the field of pampas grass. Summary of Sengokuhara's Pampas Grass Field The area around the Sengokuhara pampas grass field is home to numerous tourist attractions, including art museums, and its hot springs, characterized by their cloudy white water, are also popular. In particular, the hot springs of the Hakone Ichinoyu Group, which currently has 10 facilities in Hakone, are well known as affordable accommodations in Hakone, and feature dreamy open-air guest rooms as well. Let the warmth of the hot springs wash away your fatigue. Sengokuhara's pampas grass field is easily accessible from central Tokyo, as it's located just a short 2-hour and 15-minute bus ride from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo via the Odakyu Hakone Express Bus. If taking this route, be sure to get off at the Sengokukogen bus stop. A Closer Look at Shikoku Karst, a Scenic Sightseeing Destination Photo:Shikoku Karst, Ehime & Kochi Prefectures Shikoku Karst is located at an elevation of about 1,400 meters above sea level and is approximately 25 kilometers wide from east to west, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Ishizuchi. Shikoku Karst, a karst plateau, is dotted with limestone rocks exposed on the surface of the earth due to erosion, and is popular for its beautiful scenery that makes it a popular destination for instagrammers. Part of Shikoku Karst is a grazing area. You can see cows grazing in the vast landscape at 0:42 in the video. National Route 383 (四国カルスト公園縦断線, Shikoku Karst Park Traverse) offers extraordinary scenery, including dairy cows and giant windmills. Enjoying Your Trip to Shikoku Karst Photo:The Mezurudaira Camping Ground at Shikoku Karst, Ehime & Kochi Prefectures Shikoku Karst, known as the "Karst of the Skies" and the "Switzerland of Japan," is beautiful in all four seasons. Particularly elegant is the silver grass in autumn, shown at 1:30 in the video. In the summer, we recommend pitching a tent and staying overnight at the Mezurudaira Camping Ground and stargazing under the beautiful night sky. If you aren't able to bring your own camping gear then we recommend staying at "Tenguso" (高原ふれあいの家 天狗荘) on "Forest Therapy Road" (森林セラピーロード). Tenguso also serves an excellent lunch, so be sure to make a reservation. The Godan Highlands (五段高原), Mezurudaira (姫鶴平), Onogahara (大野ヶ原), and the Tengu Forest (天狗の森) of Tengu Highland Forest (天狗高原自然林) in Shikoku Karst are all ideal for hiking. On the roadside, you can see pretty flowers, such as Japanese ligularia, bamboo lily, morning star lily, and more, so be sure to keep an eye out for them. Summary of Shikoku Karst Photo:Shikoku Karst, Ehime & Kochi Prefectures This introductory video for Shikoku Karst shows a spectacular view of the natural scenery and landscapes of Japan. In addition, while many people visit Shikoku Karst by car, it's also possible to visit by bike. Keep in mind, however, that depending on the season, roads may be closed, so we recommend checking live cameras before visiting. Also, make sure to research transportation access, weather, and temperatures before your trip so you'll be fully prepared! 【Official Website】Shikoku Karst – A Place of Scenic Beauty https://www.visitehimejapan.com/en/see-and-do/6614 【Tripadvisor】Shikoku Karst https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1121435-d1383884-Reviews-Shikoku_Karst-Kumakogen_cho_Kamiukena_gun_Ehime_Prefecture_Shikoku.html -

Unshoji Temple in Oga, Akita: Video Introduction This video, titled "[4K] A Temple Where Hydrangeas in All Shades of Blue Bloom Across the Precincts: Oga, Akita|nippon.com" (【4K】青一色の紫陽花(あじさい)が境内一面に咲き誇る寺:秋田県男鹿市| nippon.com), was uploaded by "nippon.com." The 1,500 hydrangeas that cover the temple grounds, also known as 'Blue Heaven,' make Unshoji a popular spot in Oga, Akita. It was also selected as one of "The Best Scenery in Japan" in 2017. Hydrangeas at Unshoji Temple Photo:Hydrangeas at Unshoji Temple, Oga, Akita The highlight of Unshoji Temple is the beautiful blue world that can be seen there. On a clear day, the blue of the cloudless sky, the blue of the sea in Oga, and the blue of the hydrangeas at Unshoji Temple all combine to create a unique view that you won't find anywhere else. Hydrangeas at Unshoji Temple, also known as "hydrangea temple," date back to when the temple's deputy chief priest was captivated by the beauty of a single hydrangea that was blooming quietly in a corner of the temple's grounds. After seeing this he began to take cuttings and plant the hydrangea to the delight of his parishioners and local residents. After 15 years, the hydrangea bloomed like a carpet of blue, moving the hearts of all who saw it. At night, when the hydrangeas are lit up, their blue color becomes deeper and more beautiful than in the daytime, creating fantastic scenery. The best time to view the hydrangeas is usually from mid-June to early July, and they are in full bloom in late June. [Video] 0:55 - Hydrangeas Lit Up at Unshoji Temple Unshoji Temple and Highlights of the Temple Photo:A cute Jizo statue at Unshoji Temple, Oga, Akita Usually in June and July, the precincts of Unshoji Temple are filled with vivid blue hydrangeas. Even before you pass through the temple gate, you'll be overwhelmed by their beauty, and your soul will be spirited away. Now we'll introduce some of the other highlights of Unshoji Temple besides the hydrangeas. Unshoji Temple belongs to the Soto sect of Japanese Buddhism. The temple was founded in 1624 (early Edo period). In the main hall, there are statues of the Gautama Buddha, Kannon, the Goddess of Compassion, Bodhidharma, and Manjushri. In addition to the joint tomb of the statues of Kannon and Kshitigarbha, the temple grounds are dotted with photogenic spots where you can take great pictures for Instagram, including elegant bamboo groves, Japanese umbrellas (wagasa), and the view from the observation deck. There are also "heart stones" in seven locations around the temple, which are said to grant wishes if found, and the gentle-looking Smiling Jizo. Be sure to check them out when you visit. [Video] 1:26 - Smiling Jizo Charms and Souvenirs at Unshoji Temple Charms and other souvenirs, like shuin stamps available only at Unshoji Temple, are also popular. One charm containing a single hydrangea petal costs 700 yen. Hydrangeas are believed to ward off evil spirits, prevent women from getting sick, bring families together, and bring good luck. There are three types of shuin stamps available at Unshoji Temple, all Hydrangea-themed, and they can be purchased for 500 yen each. However, during the hydrangea viewing period, there are special shuin stamps you can collect as well. Ryuogabuchi Pond – A Photographer's Dream Do you know of the mysterious pond deep in the mountains of Nara Prefecture? This time, we'll introduce the video "【日本の絶景】新緑の龍王ヶ淵 Ryuogabuchi Superb view of Nara Japan 4K," uploaded by "SOTOBURA." Ryuogabuchi Pond is a famous location for photography in Uda City, Nara Prefecture, thanks to its beautiful reflective water surface. The crystal-clear pond is also a popular spot for photographers as the surrounding mountains reflect off the water's surface like a mirror. It's also famous as an "instagrammable" location in Japan. And with that, let's dive into the video of Ryuogabuchi Pond! A Closer Look at Ryuogabuchi! Photo:Ryuogabuchi Pond, Nara Prefecture Ryuogabuchi is located on the hillside of Mt. Nukai, a small mountain in Yamato Fuji, and the water flowing from the approximately 530m tall mountain is crystal clear, creating a mysterious pond. At 1:08 in the video, you can see the mysterious reflection of the trees of Mt. Nukai on the surface of the pond. The pond is 150 meters across from east to west and 100 meters across from north to south, making it a popular walking course. Some parts of the trail can be marshy and sometimes wet, so be sure to wear some comfortable sneakers. The nearby Horikoshi Shrine worships Toyotama-hime, who appears in the folk tale Urashima Taro. The video shows the quiet surface of the pond, but there are a lot of tourists on holidays, so we recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds and enjoy a quiet view of the pond. The Best Time to Visit Ryuogabuchi Pond Photo:Starry skies at Ryuogabuchi Pond, Nara Prefecture Ryuogabuchi is an amazing place to visit in the summer when the leaves are fresh and green, and in the fall when the leaves change to beautiful shades of red and orange. You can also enjoy breathtaking snowy scenery during the winter months. That being said, if you're driving in winter, you'll need to be prepared with snow tires. On a clear, windless day, the lake does not stir, and the surrounding scenery is said to reflect beautifully off of its surface. Because it is located deep in the mountains, you'll be able to see the stars on clear nights as well. Fishing is prohibited at Ryuogabuchi Pond, as it's considered a place of faith. Sightseeing Around Ryuogabuchi Pond Photo:Murouji Temple, Nara Prefecture There are many tourist attractions, including temples, around Ryuogabuchi in Nara Prefecture. In particular, nearby you'll find Murouji Temple and Onoji Temple, for which the nearest station, Muroguchi-Ono Station, is named. Approximately 100 mikumari cherry trees line the banks of the Hono River and they're lit up, making it a popular cherry blossom spot in the city. Ryuogabuchi is only 10 minutes away from the Hari Interchange on the Meihan National Highway (名阪国道針IC), so it's a good place to visit by car. Parking is also available, so you can visit easily. Summary of the Ryuogabuchi Area Photo:Ryuogabuchi Pond, Nara Prefecture Check out the video of Ryuogabuchi and be soothed by the clear blue skies and tranquil pond. If you're looking to relax and get away from work, be sure to visit Ryuogabuchi. You can also enjoy listening to the playful sounds of fish and frogs jumping in the pond. Just walking around the promenade while taking in the natural scenery is sure to make you feel at peace. 【Tripadvisor】Ryuogabuchi https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1022867-d19690682-Reviews-Ryuogabuchi_Pond-Uda_Nara_Prefecture_Kinki.html -

The Niyodo River in Shikoku Is Famous for Having the Clearest Waters of All Rivers in Japan! Enjoy the Mystical World of the Crystal Clear Waters Coined "Niyodo Blue"!

Niyodo River: The Best Water Quality in Japan! This video, titled "[4K] 仁淀ブルー:奇跡の清流 仁淀川(高知県 仁淀川水系)Niyodo River, the best water quality river in Japan.," was created by "AQUA Geo Graphic." When asked about famous rivers in the Shikoku region, most people picture the Shimanto River (四万十川, shimantogawa), but did you know there is an even prettier river in the area? I'm of course referring to the Niyodo River. As the third largest river in Shikoku, after the Shimanto River and Yoshino River (吉野川, yoshinogawa), it ranks number one year after year as the river with the best water quality in Japan. As you can see in the video, the crystal clear water of the Niyodo River is absolutely stunning and has been given the name "Niyodo Blue" after its mystical blue color. In the video, you can enjoy viewing the river from both above and below the surface of the water! Serpent Sanctuaries and Instagrammable Spots Near the Niyodo River Photo:Niko Deep, Kochi Prefecture Mt. Ishizuchi's (石鎚山, ishizuchisan) Omogo River in Ehime Prefecture (愛媛県, ehimeken) is the main water source for the Niyodo River and the streams that run through the valleys of Kochi Prefecture (高知県, kouchiken). Niyodo River is 124 kilometers long and has a surface area of 1,560 square kilometers. The river runs through mainly mountainous regions and the combination of both the beautiful natural surroundings and stunning blue color of the river makes the area very picturesque. From 1:50 in the video, you can see the basin of "Nikobuchi" (にこ淵), which is thought to be the home of the legendary eight-headed serpent Yamata no Orochi. On a sunny day during the hours of 11 am and 3 pm, the light shines directly into the pool and the blue color of the river is even more prominent. We highly recommend visiting Nakatsu Gorge (中津渓谷, nakatsukeikoku) and Yasui Gorge (安居渓谷, yasuikeikoku) during the fall to see the beautiful scenery. There are many beautiful spots along Nakatsu Gorge, such as Uryu Falls (雨竜の滝, uryuunotaki), Momiji Falls (もみじだき) and Ryugubuchi (竜宮淵). The special rocks called "Ishibashira" (石柱) are another great sightseeing spot. The pool of water known as "Suishobuchi" (水晶淵) along Yasui Gorge changes color from blue to green depending on the season and time of day. The contrasting colors of the fall foliage and the river attracts many visitors and the area has become a very popular tourist destination. In the second half of the video, from 2:09, you can see some of the low-water crossings found along Niyodo River. A distinguishing feature of these types of bridges is that they have no sides or guard rails, which allows them to blend easily into the surrounding nature creating a beautiful landscape. The Niyodo River Is Popular Among Both Locals and Tourists! Photo:Niyodo River, Kochi Prefecture In recent years the number of tourists visiting the Niyodo River has increased dramatically, but the river is still just as popular among the locals. The Niyodo River area has a population of approximately 110,000. In the middle reaches of the river, there's the multi-purpose Odo Dam (大渡ダム) and facilities for flood control and power supply development, which support the lives of people living in harmony with the Niyodo River. There are also several campsites in the area for those who'd like to spend the night in the beautiful outdoors. There are many fun activities to take part in, such as canoeing and rafting or you can simply go for a swim. There is also a stone skipping competition held here each year. The locals can often be seen playing in the river. In 2002, the Niyodo River was the most visited river in Japan. Not only is it the most beautiful river in Japan, it's also the most loved river by its locals. Summary of the Niyodo River Photo:The Niyodo River and a low-water crossing, Kochi Prefecture The mystical blue water of the Niyodo River captivates all who look upon it. The majority of the river is surrounded by mountains making it fairly difficult to access via public transportation. We recommend renting a car or taking a trip to the river by bike! There is a roadside station near the river with hot spring facilities where you can also spend the night, a perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those who don't have a valid driver's license in Japan but still wish to visit the Niyodo River, please check out the Niyodo River Tourist Association (仁淀川観光協会, niyodogawa kankou kyoukai) website for more information on how to access the river via public transport (※Unfortunately the website is only in Japanese). Some of the roads from the car park to the spots introduced in the video can be slippery so please be careful when walking. If you still haven't yet, be sure to enjoy the mystical world of the beautiful, blue Niyodo River in the video. 【Tripadvisor】Niyodo River https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g298233-d10383500-Reviews-Niyodo_River-Kochi_Prefecture_Shikoku.html -

Video Introduction of the Eurasian Red Squirrel of Hokkaido This video, titled "The Eurasian Red Squirrel Playing in a Field of Pink and Blue Flowers [2020]" (エゾリス駆ける、ブルーとピンクのお花畑は そのまんまメルヘンの世界だった 2020), was uploaded by "Shinji kawamura." The video shows footage of the Eurasian red squirrel eating nuts and running around cutely. What the Cute Eurasian Red Squirrels of Hokkaido Look Like Photo:A Eurasian Red Squirrel, Hokkaido The Eurasian red squirrel weighs approximately 300 to 410 grams and is approximately 22 to 27 cm in length, which is about the size of a kitten. A baby squirrel is about 6 to 8 centimeters long, making it very small and cute looking. The tail of the Eurasian red squirrel is covered with hair that is roughly 5 cm long, which makes the body of the squirrel itself appear larger. The hair itself is very fine, so you can see in the video how it fluffs up whenever the squirrel moves around. [Video] 4:04 - The cute tail of the Eurasian red squirrel Lifespan of the Eurasian Red Squirrel Photo:A Eurasian Red Squirrel, Hokkaido Natural predators of the Eurasian red squirrel include birds, such as crows, owls, and hawks, as well as cats and foxes. They live in nests in trees to protect themselves from their natural predators. The life span of the Eurasian red squirrel is said to be 2 to 4 years, but in some cases, they may live as long as 6 years. In Japan, they have to endure the harsh cold of Hokkaido, but they do not hibernate. Before winter is in full swing, they gather nuts and bury them in the ground to prepare for winter. Starting from around December, Hokkaido is covered with snow, so it's difficult for humans to tell where the squirrels have hidden their nuts. However, the Eurasian red squirrel can pinpoint the location of buried nuts and eat them. And while the winter coat of the Eurasian red squirrel is characterized by its fluffiness, it changes into a summer coat during the spring and summer months, giving them a slender appearance. Where to Spot the Eurasian Red Squirrel Photo:A wooden path at Maruyama Park, Sapporo The cute and cuddly Eurasian red squirrel lives in places where it's very cold, such as the northern part of Eurasia. In Japan, they can only be seen in Hokkaido. They inhabit the plains and subalpine forests of Hokkaido. It's difficult to go to a natural forest to see Eurasian red squirrels, even if you would like to see them in person after watching a video. We recommend Maruyama Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido. You may be lucky enough to see wild Eurasian red squirrels in Maruyama Park, a park surrounded by nature in Sapporo, Japan. In addition, an albino Eurasian red squirrel was spotted on the campus of Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and blew up on the internet for a while. Incidentally, the Birds and Wildlife Protection Law prohibits the breeding of Eurasian red squirrels. Therefore, you have to go to Hokkaido to see them in Japan. If you want to see these cute little creatures, consider making a trip to Hokkaido! Summary of the Eurasian Red Squirrel Japan offers beautiful natural scenery in each of its four seasons. In this article, we introduced the cute Eurasian red squirrels of Hokkaido. They look like something out of a fairy tale. The sight of them running around energetically in a field of flowers is quite relaxing. Hokkaido is the only place in Japan where you can see Eurasian red squirrels in the wild. In Maruyama Park in Sapporo, there is a possibility to see Eurasian red squirrels in their natural habitat. If you're planning a trip to Hokkaido, consider checking them out? [Video] 1:13 - Eurasian red squirrels eating nuts Until you actually get to see them in person, please enjoy the lovely footage introduced in this article. -
