The Tsubetsu Pass Observatory in Tsubetsu Pass is located at an altitude of 947 meters, the highest of the surrounding observation facilities, and is a superb scenic spot where you can see not only Lake Kussharo, but also the Sea of Okhotsk, the Daisetsu Mountain Range, and the Sea of Clouds.
The sea of clouds can be seen from June to autumn, and it is a photo spot where you can capture the sunrise and the beautiful scenery of the sea of clouds.
We will deliver such attractive information about Tsubetsu Town. Thank you in advance!

Today was Tsubetsu Town's New Year fire brigade review!
Held every January 5th, members of the Tsubetsu Fire Station and the Tsubetsu Fire Corps gathered together in full force. Even the fire engines were on display like this—quite a spectacle✨
Last year, Tsubetsu Town recorded zero fire responses. We want everyone in town to stay vigilant so we can keep that number at zero again this year💪

Happy New Year.
NPO Tsubetsu Tourism Association began its first working day of the year today.
We look forward to your continued support this year.
Snow fell and accumulated in Tsubetsu over the New Year holidays, requiring snowplows to operate. Although this season has less snow than usual, it has felt like a proper winter.
The Ice Candle Festival is scheduled for February 1, so I secretly hope enough snow will fall before then to prepare for the event ❄️
We will do our utmost to promote Tsubetsu again this year!
Thank you again for your support!
