A Video on the "Kissing Tunnel" of Wajima, Ishikawa! This video, titled "[4K] Find Love at the "Kissing Tunnel," a Sacred Place for Lovers: Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture|nippon.com" (【4K】恋人の聖地「せっぷんとんねる」で恋の成就を願う:石川県輪島市| nippon.com), was uploaded by "nippon.com." It introduces the "Kissing Tunnel," a sacred place for lovers in Wajima, Ishikawa. The Kissing Tunnel is a tunnel next to the cave Fuku ga Ana in Wajima, Ishikawa. It is a small hand-dug tunnel located on the Nami-no-Hanamichi promenade on the Sosogi Coast, and is one of the most recommended tourist attractions in Wajima, Ishikawa! Photo:The Kissing Tunnel, Wajima, Ishikawa The Toho movie "Bokyaku no Hanabira" (The Forgotten Flower Petal) released in 1957 was filmed here, and in it the two lovers met at this tunnel at dusk to confirm their love, thus leading to it being called the "Kissing Tunnel" and becoming a popular tourist attraction. In 2011, it was recognized as a "Lover's Sanctuary" by the "Lover's Sanctuary" Selection Committee. It is said that if two people pass through this tunnel (commonly known as the "Happiness Zone") together, their love will be fulfilled. The signboard at the entrance of the Kissing Tunnel can be seen at 0:18 in the video. At the end of the tunnel sits a statue of Acala, the wisdom king of Buddhism, where many ascetic practitioners have prayed for happiness. It is full of chi that is said to grant people's wishes, and Goen no Izumi (御縁之泉, The Spring of Destiny) inside the cave is also known as a power spot. There are also other power spots around the Kissing Tunnel, such as Madoiwa "Window Rock," which offers a spectacular view. The Kissing Tunnel is lit up, and the illumination of the heart mark is very romantic. It's a great place to visit with your significant other. If you take a picture with the illuminated heart mark in the background it'll look great on Instagram as well! Behind the tunnel, there is a mountain road leading up Mt. Iwakura, and "Sentai Jizo," a rock formation that resembles a thousand jizo statues, stands at around 170 meters above sea level. It is said that the Sentai Jizo was carved by a god of nature and is said to bring blessings for children. Mt. Iwakura, a sacred mountain in Okunoto, is home to Iwakura-dera Temple, an ancient sacred site dedicated to Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of compassion. The whole area of Mt. Iwakura, including the tunnel, where the power of the gods and Buddha converge, is a major power spot. At the Kissing Tunnel, visitors can also see the "Nami no Hana" (flowerlike patterns on waves in the Japan Sea), a scenic view of Noto during winter. From mid-November to late February, the tall, rough waves of the Sea of Japan cause the mucus of phytoplankton floating in the seawater to hit the rocks and form white bubbles that contain air. This sea foam is called "Nami no Hana" (lit. "wave flowers") in Japanese. Yakushiji Temple in Nara Prefecture This video, titled "[World Heritage] Yakushi-ji Temple/Hosso Sect Head Temple - Yakushi-ji Temple in NARA, JAPAN –" (【世界遺産】薬師寺/法相宗大本山 - Yakushiji Temple in NARA, JAPAN -), was released by "channel WASABI" The video introduces "Yakushiji Temple," located in Nishinokyo, Nara City, Nara prefecture. Yakushiji Temple is one of the Nanto Shichi Daiji (seven great temples of the southern capital (Nara)) and is an old temple that represents the long history of Japan. It is well known for the main hall, which enshrines the deity that the temple worships, as well as the "Yakushiji-style Garan Building Layout," which has 2 pagodas in the east and the west. The main hall can be seen from 1:26 in the video. In 1998, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara." In addition, 9 national treasures and 26 important cultural properties are enshrined at Yakushiji Temple. In this article, we'll introduce the history of and tourist information for Yakushiji Temple in Nishinokyo, Nara City, Nara Prefecture. A Closer Look at Yakushiji Temple in Nara City, Nara Prefecture Photo:Yakushiji Temple, Nara Prefecture It is said that Yakushiji Temple was opened in 680 in Nishikyo, Nara city, Nara prefecture so that Emperor Tenmu could pray for his empress' health. During the Asuka era (around 592-710), the Hosso sect of Buddhism was brought to Japan by Xuanzang. The Hosso sect is one of the "Nanto Rokushu" (Six Schools of Nara Buddhism) and is the oldest surviving sect in Japan. Yakushiji Temple was built after the transfer of the capital to Heijo-kyo, but since there was a Yakushiji Temple with the same name in Kashihara City before that, there was a "Yakushiji Temple Controversy" concerning the relationship between the two temples. Throughout the long history of Yakushiji Temple, halls, such as the Kondo (main hall), West Pagoda, and Daikodo Hall (large hall) have been burnt down, and the East Pagoda, a national treasure that can be seen from 1:43 in the video, is the only thing that remains from when it was originally constructed during the Nara period (710-794). When the East Pagoda was repaired, a highly durable 1,000-year-old Japanese nail made of iron sand was discovered and is now displayed at Yakushiji Temple. Highlights of Yakushiji Temple Photo:Yakushiji Temple, Nara Prefecture This video introduces the temple towers of Yakushiji Temple. The first to be introduced is, Yasumigaoka Hachimangu, an important cultural property located in the southernmost part of the compound. From there, the Kondo (main hall), located in the back of the central gate, is shown. The Kondo is a building where the statues of the main deities, the Yakushi Triad, are enshrined, and the elegant building "Ryugu-zukuri" was rebuilt in 1976. Next, the West Pagoda and the East Pagoda, both national treasures, are introduced. Following that, from 1:55, you can see Daikodo Hall, Jikido Hall, Kyoraku-mon Gate (North Gate), the Genjo Sanzoin Complex, the Genjo Pagoda, and Fudo Hall. Tourist Information for Yakushiji Temple Yakushiji Temple is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Kintetsu Nishinokyo Station. There is also a parking lot so you can visit by car as well. Also, there is a sutra-copying dojo where you can calm your mind and reexamine your mind's present state through a sutra-copying experience. In addition, you can get a shuin stamp and amulets at Daikodo Hall. Kuramadera Temple is tucked away in the midst of nature in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The mysterious mountain, guarded by tengu (heavenly goblins), attracts many tourists as one of the most famous power spots in Kyoto!
Art & Architecture- 103 plays

Video introduction to Kuramadera Temple, Kyoto, Japan, in harmony with beautiful nature. This video, titled "Kurama-dera Temple - Kyoto - 鞍馬寺," was created by "TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful." Kurama-dera Temple can be found in Kyoto, a place popular as a scenic sightseeing destination. The temple stands quietly in the midst of nature. The temple, located in Kurama, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, is famous for being the training ground of Minamoto no Yoshitsune and is also the stage for the Noh play Kurama-tengu. The temple has a long history, first founded 650 years ago by Gantei (鑑禎), a disciple of the monk Ganjin (鑑真). Gantei was also known as Sonten (尊天). In the Buddhist world, "Sonten" refers to the trinity of Bishamonten, Senju Kannon, and Goho Mao (also known as Vaisravana, Avalokitesvara, and Sanat Kurama). Thus, it can be deduced that Gantei was a prolific monk. The temple’s principal image is the statue of Bishamonten, and the current Kurama-dera temple is the main temple of the Kurama Sect. The history of Kurama-dera Temple in Kyoto Photo:Kuramadera Temple, Kyoto One day, Gantei had a dream in which he was told that there was a sacred mountain in the north of Yamashiro Province. In that mountain, he met a white horse with a precious saddle. The white horse that appeared on the mountain was the origin of the name Kurama for the temple. The mountain was later named for the temple, becoming Kurama Mountain. There is also a legend called the Konjaku Monogatarishu that the god of Kifune Shrine (貴船神社, kifune jinja) near Kurama-dera Temple appeared in front of Fujiwara no Isendo (藤原伊勢人) and instructed him to build a temple enshrining Bishamonten and Senju Kannon. This is another legend of the origins of Kurama-dera Temple. What is the principal image of Kurama Mountain, "Sonten"? Photo:Kuramadera Temple Maoden, Kyoto Sonten refers to the monk Gantei, as well as the trinity of Bishamonten, Senju Kannon, and Goho Mao. Bishamonten is one of the four heavenly kings of the Buddhist faith, and is also believed to be a symbol of light and a deity of the sun. Senju Kannon is the deity of love, a personification of the moon, and has a yin-yang relationship with Bishamonten. Goho Mao symbolizes power, and is a personification of the Earth. It is believed that the union of these three deities connect the heavenly realm and the mortal realm. Although Goho Mao is not very well-known, in actuality, the legend of the tengu of Mt. Kurama as well as throughout Japan is actually referring to Goho Mao. Goho Mao descended from Venus to the earth 6.5 million years ago, and is said to have immense power. In Japan, the place where Goho Mao landed is believed to be Mt. Kurama. Due to the mighty spiritual power of Goho Mao, Mt. Kurama became a significant power spot. During the Heian Period (794-1185), the mountain was one of the sacred sites for Shugendo. Highlights of Kurama-dera Temple Photo:Kuramadera Temple, Kyoto Kurama-dera Temple is full of mysteries. Here, we'll introduce some charming areas of the temple. ・ Niomon Gate (仁王門, niomon): The entrance to Kurama-dera Temple ・ Genjosui (環浄水, genjosui): Holy water for purification, protected by the statue of the Bodhisattva Kannon. Visitors must purify themselves before entering to worship. ・ Aun Tiger (阿吽の虎, aun no tora): At Kurama-dera Temple, rather than a komainu lion-dog, a stone statue of a tiger is enshrined as a talisman. Since ancient times, tigers have been considered to be divine beasts which can ward off evil spirits. This can be seen from 1:42 in the video. ・ Kongosho (金剛床, kongosho): A stone floor inscribed with a hexagram in front of the main shrine. The hexagram is an important symbol in the practice of onmyodo (the way of yin and yang). ・ Kondo Main Hall (本殿金堂, honden kondo): Where the principal deities are enshrined. ・ Central Dojo (中心道場, chushin dojo): The training area for monks. ・ Reihoden (霊宝殿, reihoden): Records of the flora and fauna of Mt. Kurama as well as the Yosano Memorial are on display. ・ Tohakutei (冬柏亭): The study of Akiko Yosano. The original building was relocated from Tokyo. ・ Wesaku Festival (ウエサク祭, uesaku-sai): A festival held during the full moon in May every year. ・ Maoden (魔王殿, maoden): The inner temple where Goho Mao is enshrined. ・ Lanterns (灯籠, toro): Lanterns line the stone steps leading from Kurama-dera Temple to Kifune Shrine. The Kifune Momiji Lantern illumination is a fall tradition. During the fall foliage season, the crew of the Mount Kurama Cable Railway will serve customers in samue clothing. ・ Yojuji: A restaurant located on Mount Kurama. At lunch time, it's bustling with worshipers from Kurama-dera Temple. ・ Shuin: Red stamp. Popular as a memento of your visit to Kurama-dera Temple and Kifune Shrine. Summary of Kurama-dera Temple Photo:Autumn leaves at Kuramadera Temple, Kyoto As parking is unavailable, we recommend using the Eizan Electric Railway. Visitors can walk or take a cable car from Niomon Gate to the main hall. Along the mountain climbing route, you can enjoy the various sights and vast expanses of nature. Nangu in western Gifu prefecture. It's said that the shrine was named "Nangu" due to it being "a palace located in the south of the capital" (南宮, Nangu - lit. "Southern Palace"). The shrine's enshrined deity is "Kanayamahiko-no-kami" (金山彦命), the god of mining. Therefore, from the past and even in the modern era, Nangu Taisha Shrine has been the main shrine of the mining and metal industry nationwide. Furthermore, "Kanayamahiko-no-kami" is also known for being the elder brother of Amaterasu Omikami (天照大神) of Ise Jingu Shrine (伊勢神宮). The shrine was also known as "Minonokuni Ichinomiya" (美濃国一宮) at one point. In April 1501, a fire broke out, leading to the main hall and the priests' quarters being burnt down. Reconstruction was carried out by the shrine's guardian Toki Masafusa (土岐政房), and was completed in 1511. In 1600, the shrine was once again destroyed by fire in the Battle of Sekigahara and was rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1642. A valuable record of the shrine exists, which lists the costs and various other details regarding the rebuilding of the shrine. This record has been designated as an Important Cultural Property. What is “Kizuro” in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture, an unexplored region of Japan? Aerial Video Introduction This video "Unexplored Japan (Kizuro) (日本の秘境 (木津呂))" was created by "hashieemov". Kizuro is an unexplored region in Japan in the town called Kiwa (紀和町, kiwachou). Kiwa is located in Kumano city, Mie prefecture in the Tokai region of Japan. It is one of the most uniquely structured settlements to be found in Japan and attracts many tourists as it is thought to be a power spot. It has also been featured in the Japanese TV show "Nani kore, Chinkyakkei" (What's this? 100 Famous, Bizarre Views) and looks identical to a location from the movie "Your name" (君の名は, kiminonawa). In this video, we introduce to you the Kizuro Village through aerial drone photography. Kizuro: An Unexplored Region of Japan. Why Is It Shaped So Strangely? Source :YouTube screenshot Kizuro Village is located in a basin surrounded by mountains in a town called Kiwa in Kumano city, Mie prefecture. It is situated in the center of a white, oval area of land with a river running through it. The unusual and unique shape of the terrain is one of the characteristics of this small, ancient settlement. You can take a look at the terrain from 0:07 in the video. Depending on which direction you look at it from, the terrain appears circular and the highest point from which you can see it is the top of Mt. Shimzau (嶋津山, shimazuyama) in Kumanogawa, Shingu in Wakayama prefecture. The mountain path is very steep and rugged so please take a map if you plan on climbing it. The mouth of the Kitayama river (北山川, kitayamagawa) which surrounds Kizuro Village is part of the Kumano pilgrimage which is registered as a World Heritage Site. The settelement of Kizuro is thought to have been formed approximately 1500 years ago after the eruption of a volcano caused the land to sink and was slowly eroded by the surrounding Kitagawa river, the shape of the settlement is still changing today. It has become a popular tourist spot because of its photographic terrain which looks similar to a UFO landing spot, with tour buses even operating in the area. There is an ancient practice in Asia called Feng Shui that can be used to forecast or predict fortune by reading the energy in an area. Feng Shui masters believe that the unique terrain surrounding Kizuro Village makes it a very important power spot. Being referred to as an "unexplored region" you would think that the area is very isolated, and therefore deserted, however in 2015 there were eleven people living in the area. The main industry is forestry, and lumber from the area (Kumano) is very valuable and is sold at a high price. Outdoor Activities in Kizuro, an Unexplored Region of Japan Photo:Camp In the opening of the video you can see a car, however there are very few car parks in the area and it could also be said that the access is rather inconvenient. However, a lot of outdoor activities can be enjoyed nearby such as camping, mountain climbing, an observation deck, rafting, Ikadanori and the flower grotto. It is a great spot to experience outdoor adventures! Kizuro Village Is Also a Popular Hot Spring Area Source :Official home page of the Yunokuchi Onsen The unexplored region of Kizuro is also popular as a hot spring area. Many people come to visit Yunokuchi Onsen which is surrounded by the Kumano mountains where the water is said to have healing benefits. Summary of Japan's Unexplored Kizuro Village Photo:Kizuro What do you think of Japan's Kizuro Village? If you decide to visit Kizuro Village, there are many other tourist spots you can enjoy in the area, such as the Maruyama-senmai Rice Field, Shishiiwa and Onigajou. You can access Kizuro from Kumano city center in approximately 60 minutes by car. -

Although the island is small enough that a 10-minute drive will take you around the whole island, it's visited by many tourists each year. Kouri Island is famous for its sightseeing spot, Kouri Ohashi Bridge. It's a 2-km-long bridge connecting Yagaji Island and Kouri Island, and when it opened in 2005, it was the longest free bridge over a remote island in Japan. The blue ocean seen from Kouri Ohashi Bridge is beautiful and has been the setting for commercials, TV dramas, and movies in Japan. There is also a unique rock formation near the bridge that looks like a shisa facing to the side. Around Kouri Ohashi Bridge, there are several observatories from which you can view the bridge itself. In the video, you can see the view from the Unten Observation Deck and from the observatory in Unten Forest Park. [Video] 0:04 - Kouri Ohashi Bridge Kouri Island, also known as Kuijima (恋島) in Japanese, making it a popular power spot for couples, as the nickname literally means 'Love Island' in Japanese. With blue skies, crystal clear waters, and several beautiful beaches, it's a popular tourist spot. Kouri Island is also known as the "Island of Love" or "Island of Gods" based on a legend of the Okinawan version of "Adam and Eve," making Tinu Beach's Heart Rock a must-see tourist attraction. Heart Rock – A Famous Power Spot on Kouri Island's Tinu Beach Photo:Heart Rock, Kouri Island, Okinawa [Video] 9:12 - Heart Rock As the name suggests, this spot is popular for its heart-shaped rock, which is popular for photography. Heart Rock became popular after it was used in a Japanese airline commercial. It's famous for two rocks that overlap and look like a heart, but it's also popular for the upside-down heart that forms between two overlapping rocks. It is said that seeing Heart Rock will make one's love come true, making it a popular destination for couples. If you're planning to visit Heart Rock, we recommend going by car. From Naha Airport, take Naha Nishi Road (那覇西道路) and get on the Okinawa Expressway (沖縄自動車道) (toll-free) from the Nishihara IC (西原IC). Exit at the Kyoda IC (許田IC), the final stop on the way to Nago, and drive to Kouri Island via Yagaji Island while seeing the beautiful view from Kouri Ohashi Bridge. The scenery on the way to the island is beautiful, so time will pass quickly. We recommend checking high and low tide times in advance. Beautiful Beaches to Visit on Kouri Island Photo:Plums on Kouri Island Kouri Island has other beautiful beaches in addition to Tinu Beach. ・Kouri Beach Kouri Beach is a beautiful, sandy white beach with shallow waters near Kouri Ohashi Bridge. It's dotted with fashionable cafes and is popular with families with small children. [Video] 3:55 - Kouri Beach ・Tokei Beach Tokei Beach, located at the northernmost tip of the island on the other side of Kouri Ohashi Bridge, is a quiet and beautiful natural beach. It can be reached by walking along a grassy path. The water is crystal clear, and swimming is possible outside of low tide. It is small but quiet, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of a semi-private beach here. ・Peace Beach Like Tokei Beach, this is also a secluded beach. After passing through a small forest-like pathway, the view opens up to reveal the beautiful ocean. At low tide, you can walk to the outer reef. When swimming, be careful as the water may be deep in some places. Tokei Beach and Peace Beach, are two secluded beaches located side by side on the north side of Kouri Island. Must Try Foods on Kouri Island! If you're looking to try the local cuisine, Kouri Island is known for its delicious seafood. One dish you've got to try is the sea urchin donburi (uni-don) at Shirasa Shokudo. The uni-don set meal, which comes with a large helping of fresh sea urchins caught on Kouri Island, is reasonably priced at 2,000 yen! Shirasa Shokudo also offers overnight accommodations. The garlic shrimp at KOURI SHRIMP, where you can enjoy Hawaiian-style snacks, is also very popular and they even offer take out as well. We also recommend checking out local cafes where you can enjoy gourmet food while taking in the spectacular views! Cafe Fukurubi, not far from Tinu Beach, where Heart Rock is located, is also a great place where you can enter even in a swim suit. Lunch on the terrace while feeling the ocean breeze at this stylish and fashionable café makes for a wonderful experience. Be sure to take a photo with the ocean in the backdrop during your visit. It's popular on Instagram for being photogenic! Summary of Kouri Island, Okinawa Photo:Heart Rock, Kouri Island, Okinawa Kouri Island is so small that it can be circled in about 10 minutes by car. Also known as 'Love Island,' the island has a legend an Okinawan version of "Adam and Eve," and is visited by couples from all over Japan. Another interesting feature is that the shape of Heart Rock changes depending on the angle from which you view it. Be sure to try viewing it from different angles! Snorkeling and other marine activities can be enjoyed in the beautiful waters of Kouri Island, but since the island is crowded during tourist season, we recommend making reservations in advance. Also, the view from the Unten Observatory and Kouri Ocean Tower, which opened in 2013, is a must-see. Be sure to stop by. The Origins and History of Heian Shrine Photo:Soryuro at Heian Shrine, Kyoto Heian Shrine (平安神宮) was built in 1895 as the main attraction of the National Industrial Exposition held to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the relocation of the capital. The name "Heian Shrine" comes from a plan to partially restore the inner sanctum of Heian Palace at the time of the capital's relocation. Heian Shrine was founded as a shrine dedicated to Emperor Kammu (桓武天皇), the 50th emperor of Japan, and Emperor Komei (孝明天皇) was later added as a deity. A Closer Look at the Majestic Heian Shrine Photo:Soryuro at Heian Shrine, Kyoto The main building of the shrine is a reconstruction of Kyoto's Chodoin Temple (朝堂院), which was reduced in size (about five eighths in length). After passing Keiryu Bridge (慶流橋) and the torii gate (registered as a national cultural property), the symbol of Okazaki in Kyoto, and entering the vermilion Otenmon Gate (応天門), you'll be welcomed by majestic buildings, such as the main shrine Daigokuden (大極殿, an important cultural property), the inner shrine with its beautiful hanging lanterns, Ryubidan (龍尾壇, an important cultural property), and the towers Soryuro (蒼龍楼) and Byakkoro (白虎楼) (important cultural properties). Within the precincts of the temple, there are also buildings such as the Kagura Hall (神楽殿) and Gakuden (額殿) (registered as national cultural properties), Otenmon Gate (important cultural property), and Shobikan (尚美館, a guest house). The Heian Jingu Shrine Event Hall (平安神宮会館) is also used as a venue for weddings. The Highlights and Events of Heian Shrine Photo:Heian Shrine, Kyoto The Heian Shrine Garden, created in the Meiji Period by the famous Japanese garden architect Ogawa Jihei VII (小川治兵衛) and others, is a Japanese garden with an area of about 10,000 tsubo (~30,000 square meters). The four gardens, located in the east, center, west, and south, are a "pond garden" with a spectacular view of cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer, and beautiful autumn foliage in the fall. In addition to the Festival of the Ages, one of the three major festivals in Kyoto, Heian Shrine also hosts seasonal events, such as Takigi Noh (a Noh play), so be sure to check them out as well. Daisekirinzan in Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture This video, "Oishi Forest Mountain|A walk in the sky" (大石林山 空中散歩), was created by "Okinawaworld." Daisekirinzan is a mountain in Okinawa's Kunigami District, about a 3-minute drive from Cape Hedo (辺戸岬, hedo-misaki), the northernmost point of the main island of Okinawa. As seen from 0:15 in the video, the island has a karst landscape created by limestone from 250 million years ago. The many strange rock formations and beautiful scenery is reminiscent of Guilin in China, known for its depictions in ink paintings. Nearby is Ashimui (安須杜), which has been a sacred place since ancient times. From Cape Hedo, the mountains seem steep and forbidding, but once you actually enter the mountains, you'll find a peaceful paradise of subtropical flora and fauna. Most of Daisekirinzan is designated as a specially protected area of Yanbaru National Park. You can enjoy the magnificent nature of Yanbaru while making your way through the two main trekking courses. The History of Daisekirinzan Photo:Daisekirinzan, Okinawa Daisekirinzan is a "quasi-national park" in Okinawa, in accordance with the Natural Parks Act. The park is managed with the aim of protecting the beauty of nature and contributing to the health, recuperation, and knowledge of Japanese citizens. On September 15, 2016, along with the official designation of Yanbaru National Park, a part of the area previously designated as Okinawa Kaigan Quasi-National Park was transferred to Yanbaru National Park. There is also a barrier-free course, which is 600 meters long and takes about 20 minutes to complete It's designed for the elderly and people in wheelchairs to enjoy. As seen from 2:00 in the video, there's also Eboshi-iwa Rock (鳥帽子岩) towering into the sky, as well as the mysterious Nabe-ike Pond (鍋池). ② Yanbaru Forest Course The Yanbaru Forest Course can be seen from 2:09 in the video. Even in the midst of Daisekirinzan, this is an area where the subtropical trees grow especially densely. It takes about 30 minutes to traverse the 1,000m-long course, and you can enjoy the magnificent natural scenery, including the huge banyan tree seen from 2:32 in the video. Summary of Daisekirinzan Photo:The Phantom Flower Mucuna Macrocarpa, Okinawa In addition to the two famous trekking courses, there are many other sightseeing spots in Daisekirinzan. Toyokawa Inari Yolmowde" Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan Video Introduction This video, titled "A Temple Visit at Night With a Fantastical Atmosphere|Using Technology to Prevent Infection|Toyokawa Inari, Aichi (2022/7/25)" (幻想的な雰囲気の中で「夜の参拝」を 感染対策には驚きの演出も 愛知・豊川稲荷(2022/7/25)), was uploaded by "CBC News [CBC TV Official]" (CBCニュース【CBCテレビ公式】). Toyokawa Inari x NAKED YORU MO-DE, which began last July, is a safe and secure, new-style nighttime worship event that focuses on preventing infection. Be sure to check out the video as it shows Toyokawa Inari and the photogenic light art, illuminated approach, and many other attractions that can be seen at YORU MO-DE. Toyokawa Inari - Is It a Temple or Shrine? Photo:Reiko-Zuka, the Hill of Foxes at Toyokawa Inari, Aichi Prefecture Toyokawa Inari, located in Toyokawa, Aichi, in Japan's Tokai region, is a temple officially called Enpukuzan Myogonji Temple and is one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan. The reason it is called Toyokawa Inari is that it enshrines a deity called "Toyokawa Dakini Shinten," a god astride a white fox (Inari shrines are dedicated to foxes), who is believed to bring prosperity to business and safety to one's family. It is said that this may be due to the fact that the shrine is also associated with the Inari faith. Toyokawa Inari is famous for offering four types of shuin stamps. The summer-only shuin stamps with cool designs are quite popular. In addition, a variety of good luck charms are available, including some with cute foxes on them. Toyokawa Inari has branch temples throughout Japan. Toyokawa Kaku Myogonji Temple in Akasaka, Tokyo, also known as Toyokawa Inari Betsuin, is a popular urban power spot. The fortune-telling service at Toyokawa Inari Betsuin is particularly popular due to its accuracy, causing there to often be a queue of people waiting to receive their fortunes. Ticket and Event Information for Toyokawa Inari YORU MO-DE 2022 Source :YouTube screenshot Toyokawa Inari YORU MO-DE 2022 is from July 22 to August 6. This is a limited-time event to enjoy a nighttime temple visit, and tickets must be purchased in order to participate. Tickets can be purchased at the on-site reception during the event period, or in advance on ticket websites. Admission is 1,500 yen for adults. Elementary school students and younger can enter free of charge. During YORU MO-DE, visitors can enjoy a variety of illuminated artworks in the precincts of Toyokawa Inari, which attract a lot of attention due to how photogenic they are. In addition to the approach to the temple being lit up, this year the light-up area has been expanded even further! Reiko-Zuka, the Hill of Foxes, where approximately 1,000 fox statues are enshrined, will be illuminated with light and sound effects, creating an even more beautiful and mysterious atmosphere. In addition, the colorful flower-shaped mikuji that have become popular on Japanese social media will add color and delight visitors. Summer is also the best time for yukata! The FOX MASK, available in limited quantities, goes perfectly with yukata, and allows visitors to take memorable photos! Also, the "Tsukubai," a stone wash basin used to purify oneself, emits disinfectant when hands are held near it and projects motifs of goldfish and fireworks. In addition, the light patterns on the lanterns allow visitors to maintain safe social distancing while enjoying the attractions. How Crowded is Toyokawa Inari YORU-MODE 2022? Source :YouTube screenshot With the number of people infected with the new coronavirus on the rise, one concern people have inevitably expressed is how crowded the event will be. At this year's YORU MO-DE, in addition to infection prevention measures, such as alcohol disinfection and lanterns that allow people to naturally maintain distance from other visitors, as mentioned above, a new system has also been introduced. On the day of the event, visitors will obtain a digital numbered ticket by scanning a QR code before entering, and will receive a message on via LINE when it's time to enter. Through this system, the number of visitors allowed into the temple grounds per hour is limited to 1,500 to prevent crowding and to prevent the spread of the virus. Until you can enter with a digital numbered ticket, you can fill your stomach at the food stalls and stores in the shopping area. This system allows visitors to make good use of their time while waiting instead of just standing in line until they can enter. Delicious Food to Try at Toyokawa Inari! When you visit Toyokawa Inari, be it for sightseeing or to pray, there's one food that you've got to try. That is, Toyokawa Inari Sushi! Named after Inari Okami's favorite abura-age, this sushi is a must-try. We recommend Okitsune Honpo (おきつね本舗) if you want to try it! They also offer take-out, so it is perfect for eating while you walk around. The "Okitsune Burger," which uses fried tofu instead of buns, is also popular according to reviews. Consider giving it a try! Summary of YORU MO-DE at Toyokawa Inari If you haven't already seen the video introducing the precincts of the temple and other areas decorated with light effects, be sure to check it out. When visiting the event, although a large parking lot is available, we recommend using public transportation instead of a car, as parking is expected to be crowded during the event. Toyokawa Inari YORU MO-DE is a festival where visitors can enjoy beautiful art with the aim of revitalizing the local community. There are many hotels and other lodging facilities in the area. If you're visiting Aichi for sightseeing, definitely give YORU MO-DE a thought, it's a fantastic summer-only event! -

It's an introductory video of Enryakuji Temple located in Otsu (大津市), Shiga prefecture. Enryakuji Temple was founded by the Japanese monk Saicho (最澄) (767 AD - 822 AD) some time between the end of the Nara Period (790 AD) and the beginning of the Heian Period (800 AD) and is the headquarters of the Tendai sect of Japanese Buddhism. The video shows the large lecture hall, Amida-do (阿弥陀堂) from 4:46, the pagoda Hokke Soji-in Todo (法華総寺院東塔) from 4:57 as well as the following buildings: Sannouin (山王院堂), the Saito Area (西塔), Tsubakido (椿堂), Jogyodo (常行堂), Hokkedo (法華堂), Ninaido (にない堂), Shakado (釈迦堂), Eshindo (恵心堂) and Konponnyohoto (根本如法塔). Please enjoy taking a look at the unique scenery of each of the temple's areas in the video. The History of Enryakuji Temple Photo:Kaidan-in Temple, Mt. Hiei, Shiga Prefecture Enryakuji Temple, also known as Eizan (叡山), is a temple located in Sakamoto Honcho (坂本本町) in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture. Enryakuji Temple dates all the way back to the 8th century when the then 19-year-old monk Saicho built a simple thatched hut. Mt. Hiei, the mountain on which Enryakuji Temple is built, has been worshipped since ancient times and is even mentioned in the Kojiki. The Japanese god or "kami" Oyamakui (大山咋神) is the deity enshrined here. Many famous monks, such as Kukai (空海), also known as Kobo Daishi (弘法大師), have trained on Mt. Hiei, making it one of the most important mountains for Buddhism in Japan. During the Warring States Period (1467 AD - 1615 AD), Enryakuji Temple was famously burned to the ground by the warlord Oda Nobunaga (織田信長); however the temple was later rebuilt by Toyotomi Hideyoshi (豊臣秀吉) (1536 AD - 1598 AD) and Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川家安) ( 1541 AD - 1616). Highlights of Enryakuji Temple and Mount Hiei Photo:Enryakuji Temple, Mt. Hiei, Shiga Prefecture Enryakuji Temple is home to many national treasures and Important Cultural Properties as well as being registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto" (古都京都の文化財). Over one hundred sub-temples cover the vast temple grounds and the three main areas of the temple "Todo" (東塔), "Saito" (西塔), and "Yokawa" (横川) are generally referred to as "Santo" (三塔, santou) meaning "the three pagodas." We highly recommend taking a trip to Enryakuji Temple to visit one or more of the many fascinating temple buildings, such as Kokuhoden (国宝殿) or Rurido (瑠璃堂). Don't forget to collect seal stamps, known as "go-shuin," as you visit the different temples! You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) from the temple grounds! Summary of Mt. Hiei and Enryakuji Temple Photo:Enryakuji Temple, Mt. Hiei, Shiga Prefecture Enryakuji Temple is a dynamic sightseeing spot consisting of multiple buildings that cover the mountainous area stretching from Lake Biwa to Kyoto. As you can imagine after watching the video, it would take a fairly long time to visit each and every one of the halls and buildings of Enryakuji Temple. We highly recommend booking a hotel in the surrounding area and participating in one of the local tours to make the most of your visit to Mt.
