"Hokkawa Onsen Moon Road"
"Hokkawa Onsen Moon Road" was selected as Japan's 100 Famous Month as a famous month to be left for future generations. On the night when the moon shines brighter for three days before and after the full moon, the moonlight appears on the surface of the sea on the "Moon Road." It is a scene unique to Higashiizu Town, where the east Coast of the town faces the sea. Visit on full moon days to capture this scene with a camera in hand.

At Izu Hokkawa Onsen, which is Representative as a Appreciation spot for Moon Road, the "Nekosai Day" Events are Held in on the full moon day every month. "Nekosai" refers to fixed nets, and "Nekosai Day" is a prayer for the safety of fixed net fishing and a large catch, and fish grilled over charcoal is served free of charge. Enjoy the hospitality of the full moon day at Izu Kitagawa in Higashi-Izu. (Held in "Nekosai Day" in 2025 from the day of the full moon on February 12.) )
