Hakone Komagatake Ropeway resumes operation on Wednesday, September 20
A superb view from the sky connecting the shores of Lake Ashi and the highest observation deck in Hakone
The "Hakone Komagatake Ropeway" located in Pleasure Land Hakoneen on the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone had been suspended since June 19 for annual inspection and repair work, but resumed operation on Wednesday, September 20.
The Hakone Komagatake Ropeway is a ropeway that connects Hakoneen Garden located on the shores of Lake Ashi with the summit of Mt. Komagatake with a total length of 1,783 meters in 7 minutes one way. At the top of Mt. Komagatake is the highest observatory in Hakone, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Hakone like a miniature garden centered on Lake Ashi below, the majestic Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps to the northwest, Suruga Bay, the Izu Peninsula, and the Shonan coast to the Miura Peninsula and the Boso Peninsula.
It opened on April 27, 1963 and will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023. We have prepared various events to express our gratitude.
