It is Udo Shrine, the regent shrine of Omi Shrine in Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture. The rock cave with a height of 20 m, a width of 8 m, and a depth of 40 m is said to have been dug by human hands thousands of years ago, and this rock cave is said to be a dragon palace and the body of a dragon, and the rock cave itself is considered to be the spiritual area. Near the innermost shrine, if you look at the exit of the rock cave from a certain angle, you can see a white dragon ascending to the heavens.
I first visited there about five years ago.
If you walk for about 10 minutes while looking at the sea from Omi Shrine, which is famous for its rustling stones, you will reach a steep descending staircase.
If you descend cautiously, you will see a rock cave with a wide open mouth and a torii gate dyed in vermilion deep in the rock face where the waves crash.
I felt a strange power in its majestic appearance, and I hesitated for a moment to enter the cave.
