Iya, Tokushima: Video Introduction This video, titled "One of the Top Three Unexplored Regions of Japan: Iya Valley and Kazurabashi Bridge: A Hidden Scenic Place in Tokushima (Tokushima, Japan)" (【日本三大秘境】祖谷の秘境とかずら橋 : A Hidden Scenic Place in Tokushima(Tokushima, Japan)), was uploaded by "Anna Film Production." Kazurabashi Bridge in Tokushima, Japan Photo:Kazurabashi Bridge, Tokushima Prefecture Kazurabashi Bridge is a suspension bridge that has been designated as an Important Cultural Property by the Japanese government and is located in Miyoshi, Tokushima, in Japan's Shikoku Region. There is also a Kazurabashi Bridge in Fukui Prefecture, but this article will focus on the bridge in Tokushima Prefecture. There are various theories about the history of Kazurabashi Bridge, such as that it was built the famous Buddhist monk Kukai (Kobo Daishi) for villagers in need, or that it was built by Heike warriors to allow them to escape from their pursuers and easily cut down the bridge. The bridge is approximately 2 meters wide and 45 meters long, and is made of vines from the hardy kiwi. When crossing the bridge, visitors can clearly see the scenery below through the gaps beneath their feet, making it a thrilling experience! This is a popular spot for both Japanese tourists, as well as foreign tourists. If you're looking to take some picturesque photos for Instagram, we recommend visiting during the illumination. [Video] 4:40 - Kazurabashi Bridge Another Vine Bridge in Tokushima Photo:Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridge, Miyoshi, Tokushima In Miyoshi, Tokushima, there is actually one more vine bridge to be found. This is Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridge. There are two bridges, a male bridge, and a female bridge, and together they are called "Meoto-bashi" (wedded bridges). There is also a bridge (gondola) called Yaen, which can be crossed by pulling a rope, but as of June 2022, it is out of service due to a malfunction. [Video] 12:44 - Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridge Ochiai Village – A Nationally Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings Photo:Ochiai Village, Iya, Tokushima Ochiai Village is situated on a steep slope. The village retains a historic original Japanese landscape with houses built from the mid-Edo period to the early Showa period and stacked stone walls. In 2005, it was registered as a Nationally Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. In the video, you can see thatch-roofed houses and views of houses dotting the hillside. [Video] 0:16 - Ochiai Village The Beautiful Biwa Falls and a Village of Scarecrows Photo:Kakashi no Sato, Tokushima Prefecture Iya in Tokushima Prefecture is also known for its beautiful valleys. The 40-meter-tall Biwa Falls, named after a fallen Heike warrior who played the biwa at the falls in memory of the capital of Kyoto, is a relaxing waterfall where visitors bask in the abundant negative ions. Visitors can also enjoy a walk through the verdant Iya Valley to experience the pristine nature of the area. [Video] 7:29 - Biwa Falls Kakashi no Sato (lit. 'Scarecrow Village') is a name derived from the fact that many scarecrows can be seen in the Iya region. You can even see some of the expressive scarecrows in the video. It's a famous sightseeing spot in Tokushima and is also known as Ningyo-mura (doll village). [Video] 8:13 - A Village in the Sky, Kakashi no Sato Accommodations and Dining in the Iya Region of Tokushima, Japan If you are planning to stay in Iya, Tokushima, a recommended hotel is Hotel Kazurabashi. There are many hot spring resorts in Tokushima Prefecture, but this one offers open-air baths in the sky, accessed via cable car, so you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Iya Valley with some great views. We also recommend Hanbee no Ie (半兵衛の), a rest area/restaurant where visitors can relax around a sunken hearth. For meals, you can enjoy local dishes, such as grilled river fish, grilled fish coated with miso, wild vegetables, and other local delicacies. Forest Adventure Iya Valley: Experience the Great Outdoors in Tokushima, Japan Forest Adventure Iya Valley is an outdoor park that opened in 2017. The establishment offers exciting activities in the great outdoors! It features a long zipline, which makes you feel as though you're flying through the sky, and is especially popular with children. It's recommended to wear comfortable clothing and bring a change of clothes as well. Summary of Kazurabashi Bridge in Tokushima, Japan Photo:Kazurabashi Bridge, Iya, Tokushima The Iya region of Tokushima, Japan offers historic Japanese scenery and abundant natural beauty. To reach Kazurabashi Bridge, it takes about one hour from the Ikawa-Ikeda Interchange (井川・池田IC) by car. Nanao Castle – An Introductory Video on One of the Top 100 Castles of Japan This video, titled "Nanao Castle in ISHIKAWA, JAPAN / #34 of the Top 100 Castles of Japan|4K" (【石川/日本100名城】七尾城/難攻不落の天宮 4K - Nanao castle in ISHIKAWA, JAPAN / The Top 100 Castles in Japan No.34 -), was uploaded by "channel WASABI." Introduces the ruins of Nanao Castle, a mountain castle in Nanao, Ishikawa, in Japan's Koshinetsu region, in beautiful 4K quality! Nanao Castle, one of the Top 100 Castles of Japan and a Nationally Designated Historic Site, is located at an elevation of 300m, overlooking Nanao Bay and the Noto Peninsula from the honmaru (inner citadel). Nanao Castle was considered an impregnable fortress during its prime, and you can still see the stone walls where the major parts of the castle were previously located. In this article, we'll introduce tourist information and travel tips for anyone planning to visit Nanao Castle. The video introduces the breathtaking scenery of Nanao Castle, a vast area located on a mountain ridge in the forests of Japan. For those who have studied or are interested in Japanese history, it paints a good picture of what the Sengoku Period (Japan's warring states period; around 1467 - 1615 AD) was like. Exploring the History of Nanao Castle Photo:Nanao Castle inner bailey ruins, Nanao, Ishikawa Nanao Castle is a mountain castle with a "kuruwa" (castle wall) on each of the seven ridges: Matsuo, Takeo, Umeo, Kikuo, Kameo, Torao, Tatsuo. There are still references that show it was also referred to as "Matsuo Castle," written both "松尾城" and "末尾城" (same pronunciation different kanji/spelling). Nanao Castle was built in the first half of the 16th century as the residence of the Hatakeyama Clan, a Japanese samurai clan who governed the province of Noto. It is a fortified castle that is said to be one of the Five Great Mountain Castles of Japan, and it fell after a roughly year-long battle with Uesugi Kenshin's forces. After that, Oda Nobunaga appointed Maeda Toshiie as Lord of Noto giving him the castle, however, after Toshiie moved to Kanazawa Castle, Nanao Castle was abandoned. Nanao Castle - Highlights and Tourist Information Photo:The view from Nanao Castle, Nanao, Ishikawa Nanao Castle is a large mountain castle. Highlights of Nanao Castle include the many stone walls that remain in nearly the same condition they were in hundreds of years ago, as well as the scenery of Nanao Bay and the Noto Peninsula which can be seen from the top of the mountain. The climbing route to reach Nanao Castle is covered with wood chips, but we recommended wearing shoes that are easy to walk in. If you want to climb from the foot of the mountain, you can use the Nanao Castle Trailhead Parking Lot (七尾城登山口駐車場), or you can park your car in the parking lot of the Nanao Castle History Museum and purchase a Nanao Castle Seal Stamp or a memorial stamp of the Top 100 Castles of Japan before starting your hike. At the Nanao Castle History Museum, visitors can explore exhibits such as excavated items related to Nanao Castle and reconstructions of Nanao Castle via computer generated architecture. In addition, the Nationally Registered Cultural Property "Kaikokan" (the former Iida family residence), which is adjacent to the museum, is another tourist attraction worth checking out. The time required to climb the mountain is about ~40 minutes from the parking lot of the Nanao Castle History Museum, following the formerly used road to the honmaru (inner citadel) ruins. There is also a 150-minute course for those looking to really explore and conquer the vast grounds of Nanao Castle. Photo:Nanao Station If you visit Nanao Castle via public transportation, you can reach the Nanao Castle History Museum from "Nanao Station" on the JR Nanao Line by taking the city circuit bus "Marin-go" (まりん号) and getting off at "Joyama no Sato" (城山の里). From there it's about a 60-minute walk. The stone wall of the Sakurababa Bailey Ruins above Chodo-maru (a former weapon's warehouse) is shown at 0:40 in the video, and the stone wall of the Honmaru Ruins at 2:42 are some of the highlights of Nanao Castle. There's also a shrine in the honmaru, and the scenery you can see from the Nanao Joyama Observatory, which is known to have been praised by Uesugi Kenshin, is shown at 3:52 in the video. Summary of the Nanao Castle Ruins This video, titled "Nanao Castle in ISHIKAWA, JAPAN / #34 of the Top 100 Castles of Japan|4K," introduces Nanao Castle, a formerly impregnable mountain castle in Ishikawa Prefecture, in beautiful 4K. It's available for day-trip bathing, but as of 2023 Kurogane Lodge is under reconstruction and is therefore unavailable; it's scheduled to be reopened in 2025, so be sure to visit when it's completed. There is also a day-trip hot spring facility called "Adatarayama Okudake no Yu" near the ropeway station at the foot of the mountain, which is used by many hikers in the summer and skiers in the winter. Both Kurogane Lodge and Adatarayama Okudake no Yu have unique acidic springs that are said to be good for relieving fatigue, fighting against nerve and muscle pain, and also help beautify the skin. It's a good place to relax and heal your body after a day of hiking to see the autumn foliage. Admission is 700 yen for adults (junior high school students and older) and 500 yen for children (ages 4 to elementary school students). Skiing on Mt. Adatara Photo:Ski tracks in the snow on Mt. The Yaeyama Islands, the Pride of Okinawa: Video Introduction This video, titled "[4K] Spectacular Aerial Views: Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa (Ishigaki Island, Hatoma Island, Aragusuku Island, Kuroshima Island, Iriomote Island)" (【沖縄/石垣島/竹富島/浜島/幻の島】石垣島観光スポット 絶対行くべき幻の島(浜島)), was uploaded by "AQUA GeoGraphic," a channel that mainly uploads underwater videos of Japan, as well as nature videos and other clips of Japan and abroad. In this video, you will see the spectacular view of the sea of the Yaeyama Islands. Where Are the Yaeyama Islands? The Yaeyama Islands are a group of 12 islands, including Ishigaki Island, Taketomi Island, Kohama Island, Kuroshima Island, Aragusuku Island, Iriomote Island, Hateruma Island, and Yonaguni Island. They occupy one fourth of the total area of Okinawa Prefecture. Check out the aerial and underwater footage of the beautiful sea of the Yaeyama Islands in the video! Kabira Bay – A Scenic Location 40 Minutes From New Ishigaki Airport Photo:Kabira Bay, Ishigaki Island Kabira Bay is located about 40 minutes away from New Ishigaki Airport, the gateway to the Yaeyama Islands, by car. The color of the sea changes depending on the time of day you view it from, and the scenery afforded by the uninhabited islands scattered throughout the bay is simply breathtaking. The view of the bay has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Landscapes of Japan." The Beauty of Kabira Bay has earned it three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan. Popular Scuba Diving Spots on Ishigaki Island! Photo:Scuba diving on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa There are many beautiful scuba diving spots and must-see locations around Ishigaki Island. Here are a few places we recommend checking out: ・Kabira-Ishizaka Manta Scramble (川平石崎マンタスクランブル) - A place scuba diving spot where you can dive with manta rays ・Yoshiwara Arch (吉原アーチ) - A fantastical underwater scuba diving spot where the light shines beautifully through the exit of the arch ・Jukabijin (樹下美人) - A tree-shaped root with schools of fish dancing around it ・Arakawa Double Arch (荒川Wアーチ) - An arch with two tunnels, crevasses, and other terrain ・Yonehara Double Reef (米原Wリーフ) - A scuba diving spot that can be enjoyed by beginners and expert divers alike These are only some of the scuba diving spots you can find on Ishigaki Island, but there are many more. Things to Do on Hatoma Island – A Lesser-Known Destination in Okinawa Hatoma Island is a small island with a population of just 50 people. Although the island does not attract as many people as other tourist sites, it's a place where humans and animals coexist in harmony. With beautiful sandy beaches and coral reefs there's plenty to enjoy here. You can even see wild goats in town. Both children and adults can enjoy snorkeling on the sandy white beaches. Legends of Mermaids on Aragusuku Island Photo:Aragusuku Island, Taketomi, Okinawa Aragusuku Island is said to have once been inhabited by dugongs, and you can even find Ningyo Shrine (人魚神社, lit. 'Mermaid Shrine') on the island that only islanders are allowed to enter. It's a mysterious island with many other forbidden areas. Aragusuku Island consists of two islands, Kamiji Island and Shimoji Island, which are not accessible by regular boats and can only be reached via tours departing from Ishigaki Island or Iriomote Island with local guides. The islands are known as snorkeling spots where you can enjoy nature. Things to Do on Kuroshima Island – A Unique, Heart-Shaped Island With Fresh Air, Sea Turtles, and More! Photo:Kuroshima Island, Okinawa Kuroshima Island is known as "Heart Island" because of its heart-like shape. It is also known as a nesting ground for sea turtles, and the island is home to the Kuroshima Research Institute, which researches sea turtles and other marine life. Interestingly, the cow population on Kuroshima is 10 times that of the human population, so visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of cows dotting the landscape. Visitors also can enjoy swimming and snorkeling at Nakamoto Beach, located on the west side of the island. Jungle Tours and Cave Exploration on Iriomote Island, the Last Unexplored Island in Japan Photo:A jungle tour on Iriomote Island, Okinawa Iriomote Island is referred to as "the last unexplored island in Japan" and is covered with pristine subtropical virgin forests and mangrove forests at many river mouths. Iriomote Island offers many activities to enjoy its great nature, including scuba diving, kayaking, spelunking, and jungle trekking tours. Other Things to Do on the Yaeyama Islands! Photo:A starry sky from the Yaeyama Islands In addition to the islands mentioned above, there are several other remote islands in the Yaeyama Islands which have their own charms. Hateruma Island, the southernmost inhabited island in Japan, is home to the beautiful sea dubbed Hateruma Blue and starry skies, which are a prime location for stargazing. To get to Hateruma Island, you'll have to take a high-speed boat (ferry) from Ishigaki Island. Taketomi Island, a small island southwest of Ishigaki Island, is a popular remote island where you can fully experience the tropical atmosphere of Okinawa. The buffalo cart tour, which takes you to traditional Okinawan houses with red-tile roofs, banyan trees, coral trees, and other seasonal flowers, all while listening to Okinawan folk songs played by the guide, is extremely popular. Kohama Island, located on the east side of Iriomote Island, is one of the leading resort areas in the Yaeyama Islands. Although Kohama Island is home to famous resort hotels, much of the nature on the island remains untouched, and there is even a famous road called Sugar Road that passes through the middle of sugar cane fields. It's a popular location that has been used in many Japanese television dramas. Yonaguni Island, Japan's westernmost island, is full of attractions, such as Tategami Rock (Standing God Rock) and Gunkan Rock (Battleship Rock). Yonaguni Island is also home to a hill where you can view the last sunset in Japan each day, as well as spots that are thought to be underwater ruins. In addition to scuba diving, you can enjoy glass boat and snorkeling tours as well. In addition, tourists to Yonaguni Island can purchase souvenirs in the souvenir store at Yonaguni Airport to commemorate their trip to the island. For example, you can buy hanasake (a special type of spirit, made only on Yonaguni island, with 60% alcohol content), as well as straps and drawstrings made of Yonaguni ori (Yonaguni brocade), a vivid fabric with 500 years of history. How to Get to the Yaeyama Islands & Visiting Other Islands: Ferry Schedules + Prices As we mentioned above, New Ishigaki Airport is the gateway to the Yaeyama Islands. As such, visitors to the island will need to travel to the island by plane. Flights are available from all major airports in Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Okinawa. Flight prices and times will vary by location. In the past, there was a ferry from Naha that took visitors directly to the Yaeyama Islands, but the service was discontinued in 2008. After you've arrived on Ishigaki Island, you can visit the other islands via ferry. Most islands have regularly scheduled ferries, but some islands have just 1-2 ferries scheduled each day, so we recommend looking up ferry timetables before visiting. Please also keep in mind that because travel time to each islands varies, so to do ferry ticket prices. Round trip tickets can cost anywhere from 1,500 yen (~10 USD) to 6,000 yen (~42 USD). Summary of the Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa If you haven't already watched the video, be sure to take a look at it, as you can see incredible aerial views of the islands in Okianwa, Japan. The Yaeyama Islands are a place where you can enjoy untouched nature, as well as scuba diving and snorkeling in crystal clear waters. The Yaeyama Islands also offer a unique cultural experience, different than you'll find on mainlaind Okinawa. With all this in mind, what are you waiting for?! Plan your trip to the Yaeyama Islands! 【Trip Advisor】Okinawa, Japan -

An Encounter With the Specially Protected Rock Ptarmigan While Mountain Climbing! A Look at the Ecology of the Endangered Species and Where You Can Find It!

The Rock Ptarmigan - An Endangered Species This video, titled "Endangered Species|Rock Ptarmigan|A Precious Encounter Whilst Mountain Climbing|Special Edition (4k)" (絶滅危惧種 雷鳥 登山で出会った貴重なニホンライチョウ動画 特集 【4K】), was created by "Yamacchi channel" (やまっちchannel). It contains footage of the rock ptarmigan, a protected species in Japan, as well as the Crested ibis and Red-crowned crane. Due to the effects of global warming, the number of rock ptarmigan in Japan has dwindled to around 1,500 and it is now recognized as an endangered species. This video contains a compilation of footage of the adorable rock ptarmigan, which was spotted whilst mountain climbing. In this article, we'll introduce the rock ptarmigan, an endangered species! More About the Rock Ptarmigan, an Endangered Species Photo:Tateyama ptarmigan Said to have survived the ice age, the rock ptarmigan is now an endangered species belonging to the order Galliformes, family Phasianidae and genus Lagopus (キジ目キジ科ライチョウ属, kijimokukijikaraichouzoku). The subspecies of rock ptarmigan which inhabits Japan is a very adorable and friendly bird, making it a favorite among mountain climbers. It has a characteristic call that sounds similar to that of a frog. From 0:14 in the video you can see the rock ptarmigan at Mt. Senjo (仙丈ヶ岳, senjogatake), and at Mt. Tsubakuro (燕岳, tsubakurodake) from 1:38, Mt. Chogatake (蝶ヶ岳, chougatake) from 2:09, and Mt. Jonen (常念岳, jounendake) at 2:04. Rock ptarmigan chicks average 6 cm in height. A fully grown adult rock ptarmigan measures 37 cm in height and weighs approximately 400-600g. They lay their eggs in early summer from the beginning to the middle of June. The color of their feathers also changes depending on the season. In summer, their feathers are a dark brown color, and in winter they change to a snowy white. Furthermore, the rock ptarmigan is a symbol of Toyama Prefecture (富山県 toyamaken), Nagano Prefecture (長野県, naganoken) and Gifu Prefecture (岐阜県, gifuken). Photo:Northern Alps The rock ptarmigan lives in a harsh environment at an altitude of 2,400 m. In the warmer summer months they live in the alpine zone, moving to the subalpine zone in the cooler winter months. In 1980, there were an estimated 3,000-4,000 rock ptarmigans living in Japan. However that number has dropped to around 1,500. The effects of global warming are considered to have been the direct cause of this decrease in numbers. It is thought that the decrease in creeping pine (ハイマツ, haimatsu) numbers, a main food source for the rock ptarmigan, due to global warming is one of the main causes of the decline in rock ptarmigan numbers. Several measures are being taken in order to conserve the rock ptarmigan, such as protecting the species from predators and breeding in zoos. Incidentally, rock ptarmigans have been kept in Ueno zoo (上野動物園, uenodoubutsuen) since 2019. The Habitat of the Endangered Rock Ptarmigan Photo:Tateyama mountain range and a ptarmigan There are 6 genera and 17 species of rock ptarmigan found across the world. They can be found in North America, the coast of the Arctic Ocean in Eurasia, Europe, and the alpine zone in Asia. In Japan, they inhabit the central area of Honshu (Japan's main island) (本州中部地方, honshuuchuubuchihou). In this video, you can see footage of the rock ptarmigan spotted whilst climbing Mt. Senjo, Mt. Chogatake, Mt. Tsubakuro and Mt. Jonen. Snacks shaped like rock ptarmigan are sold in Nagano prefecture, the home of the Northern Alps. A similar bird, the Hazel grouse (エゾライチョウ, ezoraichou), of the genus Tetrastes (エゾライチョウ属, ezoraichouzoku), inhabits Hokkaido (北海道), Japan's northernmost Island. Summary of the Endangered Rock Ptarmigan Source :YouTube screenshot This video "Endangered Species|Rock Ptarmigan|a Precious Encounter Whilst Mountain Climbing|Special Edition (4k)," created by "Yamacchi channel" (やまっちchannel), contains footage of the rock ptarmigan, an endangered species. We highly recommend the video to animal lovers as it has footage of the rock ptarmigan from different places all over Japan! Katsuoji Temple, Minoh, Osaka: Video Introduction Photo:Hydrangeas at Katsuoji Temple, Minoh, Osaka This video, titled "Katsuoji Temple, a beautiful temple of Kachi Daruma in Minoh, Osaka, Japan" (勝ちダルマの勝尾寺|大阪箕面市の美しいお寺 - Katsuo-ji Temple(Osaka、 Japan)), was uploaded by "BURARI JAPAN." This 5-minute video shows Okiyome Bridge which leads to the temple gate of Katsuoji Temple, along with fog, the beautiful contrast of green trees and red-colored architecture on the temple grounds, and the many Daruma dolls placed throughout the temple. Be sure to check out the video, which was shot during hydrangea season on the temple grounds, to see the temple in Osaka, Japan known for luck in victory. Katsuoji Temple – The History & Name of the Temple and Its Unique Kachi Daruma Dolls Photo:Spring at Katsuoji Temple, Minoh, Osaka Katsuoji Temple, which is known for its kachi daruma ('kachi' meaning victory, and 'daruma' being dolls modeled after Bodhidharma that are symbols of good luck), dates back to the Nara Period (710-794 A.D.) in Japan. The temple was founded in 775 under the name Mirokuji Temple. The sixth head priest, Gyojun, used the power of Buddhism to cure Emperor Seiwa, who was ill, through prayer. For this reason, the temple was given the name "Katsuoji Temple" (勝王寺) meaning "the temple that defeated the king" (勝: Win, 王: King, 寺: Temple) (referring to the temple having better healers than the imperial palace). However, out of a sense of humility, Gyojun changed the "王" (King) to "尾" (Tail) and called the temple "Katsuoji Temple" without changing the pronunciation. However, despite this, the temple still gradually came to be known for blessings of luck in victory. The "Katsu" (勝: Win) in "Katsuoji" has the meaning of "facing oneself" and "defeating oneself," which is consistent with Bodhidharma's idea of zazen Buddhism. Therefore, it is said that the temple adopted the kachi daruma, a daruma doll with the character "勝" (kachi 'victory') on its belly. Many people visit Katsuoji Temple to pray for success in entrance examinations, employment, and prosperous business. The Meaning of Daruma, How Much they Cost, and How to Use Them Photo:Daruma dolls at Katsuoji Temple, Minoh, Osaka Kachi daruma have the meaning of "victory over oneself" and "to fall down 7 times, but get back up 8." It represents a pledge to fulfill the wish written on the daruma doll within one year from the date the wish is written on it. Kachi daruma dolls range in price from 2,000 to 200,000 yen ($15-$150). After receiving the daruma and writing your goal(s) for the year on the back and your life goals on the bottom, light incense sticks filled with your thoughts and let the smoke seep into the daruma. Make a vow to make every effort to achieve your goals, and draw an eye in the daruma doll's right eye. After taking it home, place it in a place where you can see it. Then, either when you achieve your goal or one year later, dedicate it to Katsuoji Temple. If you are successful, draw in the left eye, and if not, leave it blank and go to the main hall to report your progress and express your gratitude. [Video] 2:02 - Dedicating a Daruma Katsuoji Temple – Beautiful Autumn Leaves and Nighttime Illuminations Photo:Benten Hall and autumn leaves at the pond, Katsuoji Temple, Minoh, Osaka Every year in early November, visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves at Katsuoji Temple. In this video, we introduce to you the Kizuro Village through aerial drone photography. Kizuro: An Unexplored Region of Japan. Why Is It Shaped So Strangely? Source :YouTube screenshot Kizuro Village is located in a basin surrounded by mountains in a town called Kiwa in Kumano city, Mie prefecture. It is situated in the center of a white, oval area of land with a river running through it. The unusual and unique shape of the terrain is one of the characteristics of this small, ancient settlement. You can take a look at the terrain from 0:07 in the video. Depending on which direction you look at it from, the terrain appears circular and the highest point from which you can see it is the top of Mt. Shimzau (嶋津山, shimazuyama) in Kumanogawa, Shingu in Wakayama prefecture. The mountain path is very steep and rugged so please take a map if you plan on climbing it. The mouth of the Kitayama river (北山川, kitayamagawa) which surrounds Kizuro Village is part of the Kumano pilgrimage which is registered as a World Heritage Site. The settelement of Kizuro is thought to have been formed approximately 1500 years ago after the eruption of a volcano caused the land to sink and was slowly eroded by the surrounding Kitagawa river, the shape of the settlement is still changing today. It has become a popular tourist spot because of its photographic terrain which looks similar to a UFO landing spot, with tour buses even operating in the area. There is an ancient practice in Asia called Feng Shui that can be used to forecast or predict fortune by reading the energy in an area. Feng Shui masters believe that the unique terrain surrounding Kizuro Village makes it a very important power spot. Being referred to as an "unexplored region" you would think that the area is very isolated, and therefore deserted, however in 2015 there were eleven people living in the area. The main industry is forestry, and lumber from the area (Kumano) is very valuable and is sold at a high price. Outdoor Activities in Kizuro, an Unexplored Region of Japan Photo:Camp In the opening of the video you can see a car, however there are very few car parks in the area and it could also be said that the access is rather inconvenient. However, a lot of outdoor activities can be enjoyed nearby such as camping, mountain climbing, an observation deck, rafting, Ikadanori and the flower grotto. It is a great spot to experience outdoor adventures! Kizuro Village Is Also a Popular Hot Spring Area Source :Official home page of the Yunokuchi Onsen The unexplored region of Kizuro is also popular as a hot spring area. Many people come to visit Yunokuchi Onsen which is surrounded by the Kumano mountains where the water is said to have healing benefits. Summary of Japan's Unexplored Kizuro Village Photo:Kizuro What do you think of Japan's Kizuro Village? If you decide to visit Kizuro Village, there are many other tourist spots you can enjoy in the area, such as the Maruyama-senmai Rice Field, Shishiiwa and Onigajou. You can access Kizuro from Kumano city center in approximately 60 minutes by car. -

The Transparent Waters of Sunayama Beach on Miyakojima + Sightseeing Spots and Attractions on the Island in Okinawa

Aerial Footage of Sunayama Beach on Miyakojima: Video Introduction This video, titled "[Drone Aerial Photography] Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima|Healing Drone Okinawa" (【ドローン空撮】宮古島 砂山ビーチ Healing Drone Okinawa), was uploaded by "Umi Note." It introduces the beautiful blue skies, sandy white beach, and clear waters of Miyakojima. Highlights of Sunayama Beach – Spectacular Views at Every Turn! Photo:Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima, Okinawa Sunayama Beach is located approximately 4 km from the center of Hirara, a city in Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture, in Japan's Kyushu Region. Despite its easy accessibility, the beach is surrounded by unexplored nature and beautiful, clear waters. The video shows the spectacular views of Sunayama Beach from beginning to end. The drone offers a unique view that you wouldn't normally be able to see, and the beach seen from the ocean side is so beautiful that it will leave you speechless. [Video] 0:35 - View From the Beach As the name of the beach suggests (砂山, Sunayama; lit. "Sand Mountain"), it's located over a small sand hill. From the parking lot near Sunayama Beach, there is a narrow path leading uphill. It's a bit difficult to climb while carrying luggage, but the view after reaching the top makes it totally worth the effort. You can't help but stop to take in the view. The Rock Arch at Sunayama Beach – A Popular Instagram Spot! The rock arch is a popular spot at Sunayama Beach. You can see the blue ocean through the rock and take photogenic pictures as well. It's also known as a sunset spot, where you can even see the sunset over the ocean inside the rock arch. We recommend relaxing on the beach and watching the sun set inside the rock arch. Things to Be Careful of at Sunayama Beach Photo:Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima, Okinawa The fact that Sunayama Beach is mostly unspoiled by human hands, means that it's full of natural beauty, but this also means there are a few precautions you should take when visiting the beach. The rock arch is currently closed off due to the danger of falling rocks and collapse. Visitors are advised to only go close to the rocks to take pictures. You can also swim at Sunayama Beach, but the waves are surprisingly tall and accidents have been known to occur. Be careful when snorkeling in areas where the water is even a little deep. Swim rings and life jackets may be necessary. There are also signs warning of sharks. We recommend staying in the shallow areas at Sunayama Beach, as there are no lifeguards on duty. Stay away from the beach when there is a surf advisory in effect. It's important to remember that you're dealing with nature, so please keep this in mind while enjoying your time on the beach. Restrooms and shower rooms are located in the parking lot. Toilets should be used before heading to the beach. The path to the beach is hilly and a bit long, so flip-flops or comfortable walking shoes are recommended. If you're with children, be sure to hold their hands when walking. There are no beach houses or restaurants on Sunayama Beach, so be sure to bring your own food or have lunch in the area. We recommend Sunayama Cafe in front of the beach. How to Get to Sunayama Beach Photo:An aerial view of Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima, Okinawa Compared to the main island of Okinawa, Miyakojima is relatively small. By car, it takes only 20 minutes to reach the beach from Miyako Airport and 10 minutes to reach from Hirara Port. Free parking is available as well. The video shows an aerial view of the entirety Miyakojima. [Video] 3:20 - Miyakojima From the Sky If you don't have a car, you can also rent a bicycle. If you rent a bicycle at Hotel Atoll Emerald Miyakojima, you can get to Sunayama Beach in about 15 minutes. Miyakojima Sightseeing Spots! In addition to Sunayama Beach, there are many other places on Miyakojima where you can enjoy the beautiful ocean, such as Yonaha Maehama Beach, Aragusuku Beach, and Shigira Beach. In addition to taking a dip in the ocean, simply admiring the scenery will leave you feeling content. Also, with the opening of the Miyako Shimojishima Airport Terminal in 2019, there are more fashionable cafes and restaurants. Miyakojima Tokyu Hotel & Resorts and Shigira Bayside Suite Alamanda are the most famous resort hotels, but there are also many nice hotels scattered throughout the area. Summary of Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima If you haven't already watched the video, be sure to check it out! You can enjoy Miyakojima's Sunayama Beach from the sky. Enjoy the sandy white beach, blue sky, and the crystal-clear waters of Miyakojima. If you're planning a trip to Okinawa, why not extend your trip a little further and visit Miyakojima? There are connecting flights to Miyakojima from Naha Airport and direct flights from Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The beautiful Sunayama Beach is waiting for you just beyond a sandy mountain. This is a place you don't want to miss! 【TripAdvisor】Sunayama Beach, Miyakojima https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g680765-d1382554-Reviews-Sunayama_Beach-Miyakojima_Okinawa_Prefecture.html -

Hachiman-bori Canal and Beautiful Nighttime Cherry Blossoms: Video Introduction This video, titled "Hachiman-bori Canal in SHIGA, JAPAN / Viewing Cherry Blossoms at Night" (【滋賀/観光地】八幡堀夜桜/近江八幡幻想の夜 - Hachiman-bori Canal in SHIGA, JAPAN / Viewing cherry blossoms at night -), was uploaded by "channel WASABI." Enjoy the beautiful nighttime cherry blossoms of Hachiman-bori Canal, a cherry blossom spot in Omihachiman, one of the leading tourist attractions in Shiga Prefecture, in the video. Hachiman-bori Canal, a Tourist Attraction in Omihachiman Photo:Omihachiman, Shiga Omihachiman is one of the most famous tourist spots in Japan's Kansai region and Shiga Prefecture, and one of the most popular attractions in Omihachiman is the famous Hachiman-bori Canal. The Hachiman-bori Canal dates back to Japan's Warring States Period (1467-1615 AD) and the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1598 AD), when Toyotomi Hideyoshi's nephew, Toyotomi Hidetsugu, built a castle and established a town on Mt. Hachiman. The Hachiman-bori Canal is connected to Lake Biwa, and a "rakuichi-rakuza" (free markets and open guilds) system was established to accommodate the merchants who passed through the canal. The castle town was the birthplace of the Omi merchants and played a role in the development of the town as a result of their efforts to make it prosperous. When is the best time to see the cherry blossoms in Hachimabori? What are the highlights of the tour of Hachimantori? "Hachimanbori Tour" takes you on a Japanese boat, looking up at the emotional white-walled storehouse and cherry blossoms, showing different views from willow in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snow in winter. It takes about 30 minutes to tour Hachimantori. Cherry blossoms in Hachimanbori in Omi Hachiman are usually at their best in early April.2024 is expected to bloom on March 31st and be in full bloom around April 8th. When you visit Omi Hachiman City in spring, please check the cherry blossom status before going out. Hachiman-bori Canal and Beautiful Cherry Blossoms: A Spectacular Sightseeing Location! Photo:The Hachiman-bori Canal, spring, Shiga Omihachiman is famous as a village of water, selected as one of the Eight Views of Lake Biwa. One of the most popular sightseeing tours in Omihachiman is the Hachiman-bori Canal Tour. The Hachiman-bori Canal Tour is a popular way to view the cherry blossoms while enjoying a leisurely ride on a traditional Japanese houseboat. Visitors can also enjoy the seasonal scenery of willows in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and gentle snow in winter, while viewing merchants' mansions reminiscent of days past. In addition to touring around Hachiman-bori Canal, we also recommend taking a leisurely stroll through the historical streets. Omihachiman - A Town of Historic Merchant Houses and Historical Dramas Photo:The townscape of Omihachiman Omihachiman is not only famous as a sightseeing spot, but it's also known as one of Japan's most famous locations for filming historical dramas. The merchants' houses and elegant townscape, which still retain their historical atmosphere, are the perfect locations for historical dramas. In particular, it became famous as a location for the Rurouni Kenshin movie, and the Hachiman-bori Canal has become popular not only among fans, but also among many others as a place for pilgrimages. Sightseeing and Recommendations Around Hachiman-bori Canal Photo:The Kawara Museum In the vicinity of the Hachiman-bori Canal, there's the Kawara Museum, a unique exhibition hall in Japan specializing in roof tiles, and the Honganji Hachiman Betsuin Temple (本願寺八幡別院), the largest temple in the city, where visitors can experience the history of Omihachiman. There are also cafes and restaurants where you can stop by during a stroll and enjoy lunch. For example, there's a restaurant called "Tiffany" where you can enjoy famous Omi Beef dishes, or "Kihei" where you can sample the local cuisine of Omihachiman. When it comes to cafes in Omihachiman, Taneya/Club Harie is a place you have to check out. Its most popular items are Japanese sweets and baumkuchen. When visiting the Hachiman-bori Canal area for sightseeing, we recommend that you pick out the spots you want to visit in advance, and if you're coming by car, look up the location of parking lots in advance to ensure a smooth visit. Summary of Beautiful Cherry Blossoms at Hachiman-bori Canal Omihachiman is so beautiful that it has been selected as one of the Eight Views of Lake Biwa, delighting the eyes of many people. The Hachiman-bori Canal tour introduced in the video can be enjoyed together with a canal tour of the town. Both are incredibly attractive. Since there's a difference in the time required, if you have time to relax, the canal tour is definitely something to try. During Hachimanbori Matsuri (Hachiman-bori Canal Festival), the streets, as well as bamboo floats along the Hachiman-bori Canal are filled with lights. The lights create a more elegant and emotional atmosphere, making it great for taking Instagram photos. From the top of Mt. Hachiman, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking night view of Omihachiman combined with the lights along the walking path. The Hachiman-bori Canal is a place with an amazing historical atmosphere that has been used as a location for historical dramas. Cherry Blossoms, Rape Blossoms, and Blue Skies at Gongendo Park in Beautiful 8k! This video, titled "8K - Gongendo Park - Saitama - 権現堂堤," was released by "TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful." The video shows the contrast between the pink of the cherry blossoms and the yellow of the rape blossoms in 8K video. With the addition of the clear blue skies, you can enjoy a beautiful tri-color cherry blossom viewing experience! Gongendo Park, located in Satte, Saitama Prefecture (埼玉県幸手市, Saitama-ken Satte-shi) in Japan's Kanto region, is one of the most popular and Instagram-worthy cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan's Kanto region. According to documents from the late Edo Period (~1750-1860 A.D.), the name of Gongendo Park comes from the fact that there were three "Gongen" in the village. Located within Gongendo Park in Uchigouma, Satte, Saitama Prefecture, a field of rape blossoms spreads out beneath a 1km long embankment of blooming cherry blossoms. The Satte Cherry Blossom Festival at Gongendo Park, Satte, Saitama Prefecture - One of the Best Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan’s Kanto Region! Photo:Gongendo Park, Saitama Prefecture At Gonjendo Tsutsumi in Kote City, Saitama Prefecture, Kote Sakura Festival is usually held during the cherry blossom season from late March to early April. The schedule for 2024 is from March 20 to April 7. You can view the cherry blossoms in full bloom from the beginning of the video. During the Satte Cherry Blossom Festival, there are around 100 booths, as well as marathon races, haiku contests, and many other fun events. The rows of cherry blossoms and Sotono Bridge over the Nakagawa River are lit up beautifully at night. As a famous place for all-day cherry blossom viewing, it attracts local, domestic, and even foreign tourists. The scenery of the cherry blossom tunnel made up of approximately 1,000 Someiyoshino cherry trees, coupled with the field of rape blossoms is highly regarded, and has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Hometown Prides of Saitama for the 21st Century." The prefectural park where Gongendo Park is located has a large parking lot, so if you're planning on coming by car you can rest assured there will more than likely be parking available. During the Satte Cherry Blossom Festival, there is a fee for parking, so coming via public transportation is also fine. If you don't like crowds and want to enjoy the cherry blossoms at your own pace, we recommend checking out the Nakagawa Miyuki Observation Live Cameras. Information on bloom conditions is also available on the Gongendo Park official website, so be sure to check it out. There's More Than Cherry Blossoms! Gongendo Park Is a Famous Place in Satte, Saitama Prefecture, with Flowers That Bloom All Year Round! Photo:Hydrangeas Gongendo Park is famous for its cherry blossoms, but it's like a completely new wonderland of flowers in every season. After the cherry blossom and rape blossom seasons introduced in the video, the hydrangeas are quick to follow! Around 15,000 hydrangeas of 100 different varieties bring life to Gongendo Park, making them the main attraction during the rainy season. On the last day of the Satte Hydrangea Festival, pruned hydrangeas are given away to visitors as gifts. In the fall, millions of red spider lilies begin to bloom. The "Red Spider Lily Festival" is also held here. In 2014, there were around 1 million red spider lilies, but now there are approximately 5 million! In winter, there's a Daffodil Festival at Gongendo Park as well. In 2020 there were sunflowers planted in the rape blossom fields and it became a widely talked about event. Gongendo Park is also very popular with the media! In 2007, Gongendo Park won the Flower Tourism Award in the "Flower Tourism Development Awards" (花の観光地づくり大賞, Hana no kankouchi-zukuri Taisho) sponsored by the Japan Tourism Association. The Secrets of Gongendo Park in Satte City, Saitama Prefecture! A Tidbit on Gongendo’s Hidden Gem! Photo:Goats at Gongendo Park, Saitama Prefecture Flowers are not the only attraction of Gongendo Park. Gongendo Park was developed to be a "recreational center and a place to enjoy playing in water," and is made up of four different zones. In addition to the Satte Gongendo Cherry Blossom Embankment (幸手権現堂堤) (Park No. 4), which is famous for its cherry blossoms and beautiful waterfront, there's also the Multipurpose Athletic Grounds (多目的運動広場) (Park No. 1) with a full range of playground equipment, and Gongendo Park (権現堂公園) (Park No. 3), which is a popular place for relaxation and enjoying a beautiful field of grass and nature. There's also a goat pen somewhere in these three parks, so keep your eyes peeled for it! After relaxing with the playful goats, we recommend taking a break at "Toge-no-Chaya," a teahouse located in the center of the Gongendo Park. Their homemade bread is a hit! Gongendo Park Is Full of Attractions, but as You Might Expect, the Cherry Blossoms Are the Main Event! Summary of Gongendo Park Photo:Cherry blossoms at Gongendo Park, Saitama Prefecture Gongendo Park shows a different face in each season, with each having its own unique charm. All of the flowers at Gongendo Park are beautiful, but the contrast between the cherry blossoms and rape blossoms is truly something else. In the Meiji Period (1868-1912 A.D.), there were around 3,000 cherry trees in the area, but during the war years they were cut down to be used for fuel. Enjoy the peace of spring as you view the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom in the video! 【Tripadvisor】Gongendo Cherry Blossom Park https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g1021406-d1722859-Reviews-Gongendo_Sakura_Tsutsumi-Satte_Saitama_Prefecture_Kanto.html -

Here, you can enjoy the abundant nature of Kushiro city, and the wildlife unique to the area. Access to Hokkaido Kushiro city is best done by plane, using the Kushiro Airport. There are flights from Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport) and Itami Airport (Osaka International Airport) to Kushiro Airport. This video captures the charm of Kushiro City, Hokkaido, in under 4 minutes. It looks like summer, with the large green expanse spreading out to the horizon. We hope you enjoy the video clip of Kushiro city, Hokkaido, the largest wetland in Japan. The Most Famous Sightseeing Spot in Kushiro- Kushiro Marsh Photo:Kushiro Marsh, red crowned cranes “Kushiro Marsh” is the largest marsh in Japan, spanning 4 cities and towns in Hokkaido, including Kushiro city. This marsh is designated as natural wildlife reserve, and wildlife, such as “red crowned cranes” and “white tailed sea eagles,” that can be found no where else, live here. Also, it has been registered under the Ramsar Convention since 1980, to protect the important marsh through international cooperation. “Kushiro Marsh Observatory” is a popular spot among Kushiro city’s many sightseeing spots. From this observatory you can see a 360 degree view of Kushiro Marsh's scenery.Experience a spectacular view reminiscent of the Amazon. Also, this is one of the best spots in Hokkaido perfect for taking beautiful Instagram photos. The observatory hall displays a replica of precious flora and fauna from “Kushiro Marsh.” There are also Kushiro Marsh satellite observatories along the loop trail, which is 100% barrier-free, so be sure to check it out! Hosooka Observatory, near the Kushiro Marsh Station on Senmo Line, which runs through Kushiro Marsh, is another place we recommend. Enjoy the Great Outdoors From Kushiro Marsh's Hiking Course Photo:Kushiro Marsh, Hiking To those who want to experience the untamed lands of Kushiro Marsh directly, we recommend Onnenai wooden walkway and Tsurui track course at the "Onnenai Visitor Center." The Onnenai wooden walkway is a roughly 2 km course at Kushiro Marsh, and it takes you along a hiking course where you can breathe in the refreshing air of the Kushiro wetlands. Quite different from sightseeing in the city. The hiking course also has a 100% barrier-free route, so it's great for those using wheelchairs, or families with strollers. The Panoramic View From Kushiro Marsh's "Norokko Train" Photo:Kushiro Marsh Norokko Train Train fans don't want to miss the Kushiro Marsh Norokko Train. Sightseeing in Kushiro City, Hokkaido Kushiro Marsh and Kushiro River are not the only sightseeing spots near Hokkaido's Kushiro City. There are many sightseeing spots where you can enjoy beautiful, scenic views, for example, Shakubetsu Hill which is popular among train enthusiasts as the best location for the Nemuro Line as it runs through fields. Dining in Kushiro, Hokkaido Photo:Seafood rice bowl This video introduces not only Kushiro's great nature and places of interest, but also many of the city's popular local delicacies. At Kushiro Washo Market, there are many kinds of seafood on display, and Katte Don (a type of seafood bowl in which you pick your own choice of seafood) is a very popular dish. We highly recommend this seafood market, for both delicious seafood and sightseeing, when visiting Kushiro. The fishing industry is quite popular in Kushiro City, with the largest amount of saury landings in Japan. This is seen at 2:02 in the video. There are many other attractive dishes to try in Kushiro, for example, Kushiro soba and Kushiro ramen, soba sushi, Ganpeki Robata located in Kushiro Fisherman’s Warf, MOO, and Kushiro Robata’s robatayaki. The Ashigakubo Icicles: Video Introduction This video, titled "A Spectacular View [Ashigakubo Icicles] Light-up|A Top 3 Icicle Spot in Chichibu" (絶景「あしがくぼの氷柱」ライトアップ / 秩父三大氷柱2021), was uploaded by "Deep Channel / Shigeo Fukagawa" (Deepちゃんねる / 深川栄生). The Ashigakubo Icicles are generally open to the public from early January to late February in the town of Yokoze in Chichibu, Saitama, in Japan's Kanto Region, and are known as one of the top 3 icicle spots in Chichibu. At night on weekends, the icicles are lit up, attracting many tourists from all over Japan to see the fantastic sight of the icicles changing colors in the darkness. The icicles are just a 10-minute walk from Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Railway line, making it an easily accessible spot for tourists to stop by. You can even take pictures of the icicles with the Seibu Chichibu Line train running nearby. Enjoy the realistic video of this beautiful icy world, which can only be viewed during the cold winter months in Japan. [Video] 0:51 - The Ashigakubo Icicles and the Nearby Train The Ashigakubo Icicles – How the Must-See Winter Attraction Is Created Photo:The Ashigakubo Icicles, Chichibu, Saitama The Top 3 Icicle Spots of Chichibu, which are normally visible from mid-January to mid-February, are a symbol of winter in Chichibu, a region known for its frigid temperatures. The three icicle spots are the Ashigakubo Icicles, the Misotsuchi Icicles, and the Onouchi Icicles. While the Misotsuchi Icicles are made up of natural icicles, the Onouchi Icicles and Ashigakubo Icicles are both man-made attractions. The magnificent icicles, which make good use of Chichibu's topography, are so impressive that it'is hard to believe that they're man made. The Ashigakubo Icicles are artificially created using sprinklers on the slope of the mountain. The giant field of icicles, standing 30 meters tall and 200 meters wide, covers the entire mountainside and is truly a sight to behold. The project was initiated by local residents of Yokoze and has become a popular tourist attraction since it was opened to the public in 2014. Because the Ashigakubo icicles are man-made rather than natural, it was possible to build a boardwalk where visitors can observe the icicles up close. This allows visitors to walk along the promenade and appreciate the various views of the icicles up close, as they change in height, angle, and color. The beautifully layered icicles are a work of ice art created through the cooperation of nature and man. Highlights & Attractions at the Ashigakubo Icicles Photo:The Ashigakubo Icicle illumination, Chichibu, Saitama The Ashigakubo Icicles are lit up both during the daytime as well as at night, making it a prominent midwinter event for sightseeing in Chichibu. The illumination lasts from sunset to 8 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays during the event period. Advance web reservations are required to view the illumination on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. The Ashigakubo Icicle illumination slowly changes in color and intensity as it gets darker, adding to the fantastical atmosphere. The romantic view of the beautiful ice world is perfect for dates as well. We recommend enjoying the romantic view of the icicles while walking along the promenade, or from the top of the mountain overlooking the magical field of icicles. Another highlight of the event is the collaboration between the train and the icicles. If you're a photographer, or just looking to get a cool shot for Instagram, you can take an awesome photo of the train as it passes by the picturesque world of ice. [Video] 0:12 - The Ashigakubo Icicles Lit Up [Video] 0:51 - A Collaboration of the Train and Icicles Summary of the Ashigakubo Icicles Photo:Ashigakubo Station There are other places in Japan where large icicles can be seen in addition to the Ashigakubo Icicles, but they are not easy to visit due to long walks along steep paths. However, the Ashigakubo Icicles are the most accessible of the Top 3 Icicle Spots of Chichibu, and can be visited on a day trip from central Tokyo. The nearest station to the Ashigakubo Icicles is Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach Ashigakubo Station by train from Ikebukuro Station, and from there it's an approximately 10-minute walk. The Ashigakubo Icicles are a rare sightseeing spot where visitors can enjoy a spectacular winter view at just a train's ride from the heart of Tokyo.
