Mount Fuji, also known as Fuji-san, is a dormant volcano located on Honshu, the main island of Japan. It is the highest mountain in Japan, with a peak that rises to 3,776.24 meters (12,389 feet) above sea level. Mount Fuji is considered one of Japan's three holy mountains, along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage .

Mount Fuji is also a symbol of Japan and has played an important role in the country's history and culture. It has been the subject of many paintings, poems, and other works of art, and is considered one of the most iconic symbols of Japan.
