Takeda Castle is a castle ruin in Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture, and is a popular tourist spot called "Machu Picchu of Japan" and "Castle in the Sky" because of its scenery that seems to float in a sea of clouds generated by climatic conditions.
It is a national historic site, a nationally designated important cultural property, and one of the 100 best castles in Japan, and in 2012, its fantastic scenery was considered suitable for a proposal and was certified as a sacred place for lovers.
