Iijima Jinya was the government office of the bailiwick who ruled mainly the Tenryō (domain of the Edo shogunate) in Inadani Valley.
Iijima Town is a town with a deep history, with Iijima Jinya, who ruled the Tenryo of Shinshu Inadani Valley in the Edo period, located there, and in the Meiji era, it was taken over by the Ina Prefectural Office, the first prefecture of Shinshu.
