Kettle of Mt. Zao
Mt. Zao, which has hot springs and ski resorts, is a mountain range that straddles Miyagi and Yamagata prefectures. The circular crater lake is called "Kettle" because of its shape. On a clear day, the surface of the lake turns a beautiful emerald green. This photo, with its radiant smile on its bright face in a cloudy day, is the work of Julius of Australia. It has become one of Japan's favorite spots.
