Minakami has all the things that give one peace. I don't know why this place is so underrated, at least among foreigners, since it's only an hour away from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I would want that everyone visits this place during spring, autumn, or snowy winter. Because this city is unique in every season.

This water Shangri-La of Gunma prefecture is a hidden treasure that I found out last spring. Minakami has all the things that give one peace. I don't know why this place is so underrated, at least among foreigners, since it's only an hour away from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I would want that everyone visits this place during spring, autumn, or snowy winter. Because this city is unique in every season.

The Plum Blossom Festival is now in progress at Kairakeun, one of Japan's three great gardens. About 3,000 plum trees of about 100 varieties are planted in the vast garden, and the feature is that you can enjoy the plum blossoms for a long period, with early blooming, middle blooming, and late blooming. Currently, 70% of flowers are bloomed. Beautiful night illumination also happened last weekends.
