Shimoda Brewing Company opened this spring about a five-minute walk from Izukyu-Shimoda Station (●´ω｀●). The brewery is located inside the taproom, so you can enjoy freshly brewed craft beer on the spot— a luxurious moment in Shimoda.🍺✨ In summer, of course, you can savor it casually; on long autumn nights you can savor its depth, and in the dry winter air a refreshing pint will hit the spot.♬ Beers enjoyed with the seasons each have their own character. For my craft beer debut that day, I chose “SUNSET,” which has the lowest IBU (bitterness rating). Its light, crisp profile was perfect for a first glass. Next time, I’m looking forward to deliberately trying a beer with a higher IBU. Tasting different beers each season feels like a way to discover the depth of beer.
