Hello 😊 This is Waraji, a Koshu regional cuisine restaurant. In March, sunlight in Shosenkyo Gorge grows warmer, and you can gradually feel the arrival of spring. Waraji’s traditional house has been renovated from a historic building dating back to the Edo period (about 150 years ago). The pillars and tables are made from fine timber, so while you enjoy the warmth of the wood, please savor our signature dishes, starting with hoto. In particular, the eel skillfully prepared by our veteran chefs is thick and tender; when coated with the sweet-and-savory secret sauce, it will surely keep you reaching for your chopsticks.
