The Revived Variety Show
Nishiokoppe Village’s variety show was held again for the first time in five years.
A huge, huge, huge success!!!!
The hiatus had several causes.
There were infectious diseases, budget cuts, a shortage of performers… and more.
Thanks to many forms of cooperation, we managed to overcome those obstacles
and were able to hold the event safely.
The show opened with the Wenshiri Taiko performance, revived after 20 years.
Although the performance lasted only five minutes,
it was powerful and a perfect choice to set the tone for the opening.
There were many acts across genres for children and adults alike,
and seeing friends and acquaintances happily take the stage
warmed everyone’s hearts.
Some acts were so intense that small children were moved to tears!
In the latter half, the karaoke segment livened things up.
You could lose yourself in beautiful voices,
or join in with supportive shouts and enjoy the moment together.
The evening closed with the audience singing the village festival song together and a fukumaki (good-luck bean toss).
We are grateful to everyone who came, everyone who performed, and those who supported us from afar. Thank you very much!
