[Running through with a cardboard sled] February 11 (Tue) Events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of zero traffic accident deaths A cardboard sled race competition was held. There are individual and group divisions ands. The cardboard sled, which must have been made with enthusiasm by each of them, ran through the ski resort! Even though they are supposed to be made of the same cardboard Ingredients, each sleigh is unique. I also participated in the group division and made a sled one week before the competition. When I attached nylon to the contact patch with the snow, I was surprised to see that it slipped with great momentum. The sled bounced on a slight bump, so it was a very thrilling ride. Events were fun, including time to make sleds! The sled that won the team division is allowed to be placed at the ski resort. Feel free to skate and play until it breaks! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Road Safety #Cardboard Sled Race #Ski resorts

[I went to the Saijo Shibetsu store! ] 】 The Saijo Shibetsu store is holding a birthday celebration to celebrate its 28th anniversary! For two days during that period, wooden toys from Nishiokoppe Village I was allowed to put it in the Special venue on the first floor. What I brought from the forest art museum "Komu" There is a "wooden sandbox" with hundreds of wooden balls, wooden puzzles, cars, and the Miracle CoroCoro Tower where you can enjoy rolling marbles. Held in castanet-making Workshop in one corner of the venue! It was a two-day event that was soothed by the voices of the children who came to play and the warm sound of wooden balls touching each other. Next to the Nishiokoppe Village booth is a croquette shop from Bifuka. The potato and pumpkin croquettes were both delicious! It was super crispy. And Setoushi-kun collaborates with Bifukun & Mifuka-chan! There were some children who were confused by the appearance of Yurukyara. It's always nice to have a child who is happy. Thank you to everyone who stopped by! Once again, congratulations on the 28th anniversary of Saijo Shibetsu! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Saijo Shibetsu #Birthday Celebration #Congratulations #Komu Museum of Art #Leather Craft #Sales of Specialty products #Setoushi-kun #Beauty Deep #Mifuka-chan

[30 consecutive kite flying challenge] Friday, January 24 A challenge was held to pray for 30 years of zero traffic accident deaths. As many as 30 kites were hand-drawn by elementary school students in Nishiokoppe Village one by one. On that day, the weather was yellowtail snowy for the first time in a long time. When it was time to fly the kite, the snow stopped and a moderate wind blew. Elementary school students with kites line up in one row. If you let go of your hands from one end to the other, Gari took to the sky amid cheers on several attempts. Once in the wind, the kite shows no sign of returning to the ground. It was swaying in the wind (the tip was very vigorous). #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #30 consecutive kite flying #Prayer #Road Safety #Drone-obsessed dwarfs #Challenge Great Success

[Woodworking instructor and box making] It was held at a child-rearing support center Box-making class by woodworking instructors. This is a woodworking instructor who came to Nishiokoppe Village from April last year. We often meet and talk Since there are not many opportunities to witness woodworking instruction, I decided to Visiting the site of a box-making class. The necessary materials and tools are wooden boards, woodworking bonds, nails, and genno. The box is the perfect size for a pen stand. The four planks on the sides have grooves to fit the bottom plate. Moreover, there was even a hole for the nail in the place where the nail was hammered. (Squid with this hole, you can see where to drive it & the nail is stable, so it is easy to drive) Even if it is a simple box, without such care It makes a big difference in how easy it is to work. This time, I made a box that dared to go through the process of hammering nails so that I could get used to handling the genkan. When the boards are bonded together to form a box, nails are hammered to fix the boards together. It is quite difficult to hammer the nails straight and to hammer the boards so that they do not shift from each other. The woodworking instructor did it lightly, "Ton, ton, ton," so I was watching it while thinking that it was really good. Somukan (Workshop that Village residents can use for free!) ) and finish such as sanding, and you're done. Scenes of the box-making class. ***** 2/1 (Sat) ~ 2/28 (Fri) will Held in the 28th Woody Winter School! 【Making miso】 The other day, I witnessed the making of miso. There were people making miso for their own eating, and it was a small gathering of local Adult and children from the nursery school. At the nursery school in Nishiokoppe Village, vegetables are grown in the field. Some of the crops we grew this year were soybeans. "Miso is made from soybeans, isn't it?" "What else is made of soybeans?" Picture book while reading Combined with our own experience, we think about soybeans and miso. How to get started Crush the soybeans that have been boiled beforehand. Put the soybeans in the mincer When you turn the handle around, the beans become a paste. There are also those who hold down the foundation of the mincer Turning the steering wheel is also a very force-intensive task. The little makers crush the beans with great force and effort. Mix salt and glue, mix in soybeans Throw the miso dama you made into the barrel. The beans that were shiny and sparkling Over the course of about an hour and a half, it became smoother. From the time you make miso to the time you eat it It would take more than six months. In the gentle mellow aroma of soybeans Do you want to keep it until next year? Or so I thought. One of the students brought us the miso we had prepared last year, so we all had miso soup. For me, it was a matter of course to buy miso. It makes me realize that I have the option of "creating" by myself. For the miso prepared this year Let them get a good night's sleep until next year. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Miso making #Miso #Tezukuri #Nursery school #Soybean #Field #Tree education #Miso soup

【Snow-covered Miya Forest】 Over the course of a few days, the depth of the snow increased in the Miya Forest. While assisting the tree education project promoter, I took a short walk in the Miya Forest. I walk, drenched in snow, burying my feet in boots. If I were alone, I would only look at my feet. When I looked up after being called out, I found a bud of flowers and leaves. It has sprouted and is waiting for the long winter to pass. A gaping hole in the trunk. I wonder if anyone lives there, or if they did. I was told that the reason why the Todo pine tree is cracking is because of the "freeze". The water in the tree freezes and expands, causing the trunk to crack. It is said that when a crack appears in the trunk, a clear sound reverberates throughout the forest. Walk next to the deer's footprints Pick up fruits and flowers that fall on the snow. The snow-covered towns seen from a slightly higher place was also my favorite view. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Winter #Snow #Snow #Miyanomori #Kiiku #Kobushi #Yachidamo #Todomatsu #Shika

【The sound of revived drums】 December 1 (Sun) At the Kobe Town residents charity performance, from Nishiokoppe Village I played the Uensiri Drum. He performed one short song of about 6 minutes. From winter to Spring, it represented the scene of Mt. Uensiri waking up from the melting snow. I am very happy to have received warm applause and words of support from many. Because it's a big deal I would like to tell you a little about the history of the revival of Japanese Drums in Nishiokoppe Village. Japanese Drum performances began in Nishiokoppe Village in the 1980s. At that time, the beaters were the Local Youth Group. The powerful sound of the young people enlivened the festivals. The song that was played from that time was "Uensiri Drum". At that time, the song was composed by an elementary school teacher, and it was played until about 2000. After that, from the dissolution of the youth group, etc. The Drums, who were no longer beating, slept for a long time without being played. Along the way, there was a period when a volunteer Japanese Drum Circle was active, but it became difficult to Kiss a lecturer due to the corona vortex, and the sound of the Drum stopped completely. The movement took place in August of this year. "When the performing arts are revived, let's revive the drums as well." Former drummers and Village people who excelled in music analysis joined forces to learn the Uensiri Drum. Although it was a group of amateurs, it was made up of seven enthusiastic people. The Uensiri Drum roared again. After that, several Village residents who heard the performance at the performance party joined the group and continue their activities to this day. I had a and connection with him, and I was able to have the opportunity to perform at the Kobe Town residents' charity performance. Although it is a group that has only been formed for a short time, we are approached from inside and outside the Village in this way, and we put a lot of effort into practice. It's been a bit long. I think it takes a lot of energy to start something that has been interrupted and continue to do so. I would be happy if the members continued to enjoy their activities and conveyed this to the listeners. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Drum #Uensiri Drum #Kobe Town #Town residents charity performance #December 1 #Youth Dan #Japanese Drum #I am a photographer

[Welcome, Mr. Moss] November 16 Workshop to make a moss terrarium was held! It was a sunny day, so the participants hung out in the direction of Korakuen. Korakuen Garden is a garden where much of the ground is covered with moss. It's an unexplored place for moss enthusiasts. He is nicknamed "Pon-chan" The lecturer, Mr. Takada, takes a walk while introducing moss. If you look closely~, moss has various shapes. I see, I see, and while beating the whirlwind On the way, the participants were drawn to the squirrels that appeared. Touch it, observe it, and when you know a little more about moss, you can move on to production. choose a glass container and how much sand to fill, It was a work full of worries, such as which moss to use and how to place it. By carefully removing the soil and leaves on the moss, It prevents mold and lives longer. There was also a large amount of moss As you loosen the soil, it will gradually become smaller. A small world spread out in moss that fits in both hands. Sea grass and small cows on moss, etc. If you put it on a little bit, it looks like you're looking down at the world from above. It also made me feel strange. After about an hour of work, each piece was completed. The mosses that will be welcomed into your home. Where will it be displayed? I would be happy if you could take a look at the moss and take a breather. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Moss terrarium #Moss #Kiiku #Kimu #Korakuen #Little Man and Cow #At Korakuen, you will be greeted by a squirrel.

[Farewell, fallen leaves] Squid sunny autumn day with a temperature of 5 degrees. At Korakuen, the last major task of the year was to clean up the fallen leaves that had accumulated in the pond. Wear long gloves that cover your upper arms. Wear a torso or boots on your feet and go into the pond. Holding it in your hand is a bamboo bear. Oyster fallen leaves floating on the surface of the water and fallen leaves that have sunk Put it in an onion net and collect it. Lifting from the pond to the ground is also a physically demanding task. In order to drain the water as much as possible, I used an onion net from last year. I came up with a way to put it in. The ground team is also bending down to pick up fallen leaves. Beside me, with moss and mushrooms glittering in the sun, Setoushi-kun. It was a long time of work. It was probably the first time I set foot in Korakuen since the summer. [The moon has risen again] Saturday, November 9 Readings by the teachers (and in the village) The curtain has been drawn. This year, following on from last year, this is the second reading of the play. The subject was "The Tale of Taketori". The outfit is old-fashioned, but the content is comical. Dare to incorporate metallic sounds and guitar tones into the sound effects, etc. It was sprinkled with gimmicks to express the worldview. In a short training period There were only a few days when everyone was able to participate in practice. It was a long 50-minute performance. I hope that the audience will stay with us until the end. It was funny, it made me laugh and cry, etc. I was glad to hear your feedback. Cast members were: Nishiokoppe Elementary School teachers, Town hall staff (this trio is Popular in some areas), And it was a high school student who saw last year's recitation play and said, "I want to come out!" At the end of the day's work I wondered what next year's recitation play would be like. I'm itching now. [Baked potatoes on a bonfire] Nature experience in autumn. After the curatorial event, on the day of the substitute holiday Elementary school students gathered and made a bonfire! The last thing I went to was carrying firewood. Carry the firewood used to make the fire to the BBQ House. Some of the firewood was long and thick. There was also the work of cutting and splitting. Children in the lower grades Scenes of interest in various things, such as lighting fires and cutting wood. When I thought that the person in charge was decided and started moving, I thought, "I want to do that too!" It was interesting to see a child in the upper grades calmly observing the way his feet stopped. A child who likes chopping firewood and keeps chopping it all the time. Some of the children kept cutting trees all the time. Even a first-grader can use a solid saw By the end of the meeting, I was completely good at using a saw! It's amazing how focused they are. Fun of bonfires isn't just about the experience, of course. I also had the pleasure of eating baked potatoes and bread sticks! Sweet potato is a sweet potato that I was allowed to dig on the waterfall last month. Because the firepower was stronger than expected, and the newspaper and aluminum foil wrapping were weak. There were some potatoes that were charred on the outside (it's a reflection ...) The inside is thick and thick! It was packed with sweetness! This is an aside, but After coming to Nishiokoppe, bonfires, BBQ, wood stoves, etc. I have had so many opportunities to see the fire. How do you light, keep and extinguish a fire? Not only in reading Documents, but also in everyday experiences The environment in which you can get to know is interesting. *** Halloween Events this weekend! Please dress up and gather at Nishiokoppe! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Autumn #Nature Experience #Kiiku #Elementary school students #Experience #Bonfire #Roasted sweet potato #Stick bread

[Making things using raw wood] freshly cut, undried wood, Cracking, scraping, carving... The shape is ready. Mariko Kusakari came from Hakodate again this year A Greenwood Work course was held at the Komu Museum of Art. I participated in a course on making mini plates! What each one wants to make Considering the diameter of the trunk, the first step is to choose a tree. The participants in the mini dish making chose There are three types: willow, birch and hoo. When you split the wood, you can see that the center is moist and moist. Hoo Aroma of good wood! It was like that Aroma like fermentation smell from the cut of the willow. While using tools such as sharpening horses, sen, knives, etc. Cut to your favorite thickness and carved to depth. I rounded the corners of my plate. The work that left the corner Gari is also wonderful, It was fun to look at the plates made by the other participants. If you are familiar with it, it is a long and thin plate with three holes carved into it. I was impressed with the dexterity. I think it would be nice if I could dry it carefully and use it for a long time~. Thank you for your time! #Nishiokoppe Village #Kimu #Green Wood Work #Lecture #Raw wood #Bean plate #Mini dish #Pencil case #Place an eyeglass holder #Put fruit on it and #Trees cut by people you tend to encounter during walks
