❚ Puguang Temple
The Magaibutsu carved in the precincts is about 11 meters high including the pedestal, making it one of the largest Magaibutsu Buddhas in Japan. The giant Buddha in the center is Fudo Myoo. Fudo Myoo is a phase of fury, that is, an angry face, but this Magaibutsu Buddha has been exposed to the elements for many years and has a round and gentle expression. He is a big Fudo Myoo, but he has a very Traditional Japanese straw raincoat.
Puguang Temple is also known as the "hydrangea Temple", and many hydrangeas are planted. During the rainy season, you can see many hydrangea flowers and Magaibutsu.
The hydrangeas planted are protected by the temple and the local community.
