【Gokase Towns Experience, Miyazaki Prefecture】Footpath

A footpath is a path that can be walked while enjoying the scenery of Nature, Old streets, and countryside as it is Restrooms available.

There is a dedicated map on the footpath, and there are signs and in the course for guidance, so you can rely on them as you walk.

You can enjoy walking this footpath with the help of a map and signs, but it's the "guided tour" where its charm is maximized.

Guided by a Local guide Mr./Ms. who is familiar with the history, culture, and Nature of the village, the footpath will be many times more interesting.

●Each course●

(1) Footpath [Gokase Towns Miyanohara area]
　Miyanohara is an old village dotted with many Shidarezakura (weeping cherry blossoms), including the Josenji weeping cherry blossoms, which are about 300 years old. The Sankasho Shrine, which has an inner shrine on Mt. Nijo, which is said to be the place of the advent of the Descent of the Heavenly Grandson, has beautiful rhododendrons and a splendid Shrine sculpture of a hippocampus.
　It is a sunny and idyllic Course worthy of being certified as a World Agricultural Heritage Site, with Masonry Traditional Japanese straw raincoat Megane Bridge, 100 Terraced Rice Terraces, Terraced Fields, Bamboo Bushes, and Thickets.
　We recommend taking a walk in Spring when the cherry blossoms are in Best time to visit.

(2) Footpath [Gokase Towns Kasabe District]
　It is a small village of about 10 houses at the northern end of Mt. Gion, which is said to be the birthplace of Kyushu.
The water that gushing out of the spring from Mt. Gion is truly famous water. In order to make use of this famous water to create a community, we built a log house pavilion with local Japanese cedar and named it "Kasabe Water Station".
　The Jade is a large Cypress tree that is said to be 700~800 years old. It is called the "Hand of God" because it looks like the left hand of a powerful man, and it is gaining popularity.

(3) Footpath [Gokase Town Mulberry Nouchi area]
　Mulberry Nouchi is a village with a superb view of Aso that can be seen from anywhere and the sunset is beautiful. There are many tea plantations, and traditional kama-roasted tea is made and awarded the Emperor's Award. Recently, black tea made from Japan tea leaves is also popular, and Other are mainly field cultivation and livestock farming, such as flower, cherry tomatoes, Cultivation, and breeding of Japanese black beef. The cozy farm stay of the Sunset Village Development Promotion Conference is also popular, and high school students from Asian countries also visit on school trips.

(4) Footpath [Gokase Towns Dosei District]
　In ancient times, trade with Bungo Province (Oita Prefecture) was thriving, and it was also a logistics base. Today, it serves as an inner courtyard in Mulberry, with steep terrain and the majestic mountains of Kyushu including Aso in the background. Spot loved by photographers and painters, and the main attraction is that you can see the village scenery that can be said to be the countryside. There are many undulations of the course, and you can enjoy a little Hiking feeling.
