Aizuwakamatsu Castle, located in Ote-cho, Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, is also known locally as Tsuruga Castle.
In addition to being selected as one of the "100 Famous Castles in Japan", there are about 1,000 cherry trees in Tsurugajo Park, which is a castle ruin, and it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots".
Aizuwakamatsu Castle (Tsuruga Castle) is full of attractions. From the castle tower, you can see a superb view of the cityscape of Aizuwakamatsu, and it is also an exhibition room of the Wakamatsu Castle Folk Museum.
The stone wall of the corridor bridge is also a highlight.
