The Minami Shinshu Lion Dance Festival Executive Committee will Hold in the 17th Minami Shinshu Lion Dance Festival on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in the central city of Iida City, Nagano Prefecture.
In Nagano Prefecture's Minami Shinshu area (Town/Village 14 cities), which is known as a treasure trove of traditional performing arts, lion dances are widely popular among citizens, and there There are more than 80 lion dances. In particular, the "stalls Lion", which contains a lion's body with a bow, is about the size of a large bus, and is said to be one of the largest in Japan. This time, 26 groups of lions will gather, and each group will perform a full-fledged performance at five locations in the central city area of Iida City (on a Hilltop).
