On May 3rd, Hayase's Annual Event "Children's Kabuki" is held. "Children's Kabuki" by elementary school boys has been passed down for about 150 years. It is said that in the Edo period, cholera epidemic broke out in Hayase, and in order to quell it, children's kabuki was dedicated to temples and shrines in the ward.
