This photo was taken on Setsubun Day, February 3rd. On this day, my family went to the house in the countryside where my great-grandmother used to live! Currently, the house in the countryside is being renovated, and I mamemaki (bean throwing) it so that good luck will come to the new house. By the way, the tools that the demon has used to be used by my great-grandmother in the field work.

The following are the judges' comments.
------------
In Japan, on February 3 every year, there is a "Setsubun" where lucky beans are sown while saying "Demon outside, good luck inside".
It was believed that demons appeared at the turn of the seasons, so it began as an exorcism event to ward off demons.
We chose the winner for enjoying a traditional event that has been handed down to Japan for a long time at home.

We are still holding a photo contest with the theme of "Japan Nature", so we hope you will join us.
