Here are some recommended sightseeing spots in Kawazu Town, a beautiful town surrounded by the nature of the sea and mountains!
This time, I would like to introduce "Kawazu Ruins of the Castle".
・Kawazu Castle overlooking cherry blossom trees
Shiroyama is located northeast of Kawazu Station, and is a 181-meter-high mountain called Mt. Dainichi because it enshrines Dainichi Nyorai at the top of the mountain. There used to be Kawazu Castle, which was built by Kageyama Kageyu, who drew the blood of the Ashikaga clan, but it was attacked by fire from the foot of Mt. by Hōjō Sōun, and since there was no water, he tried to extinguish the fire with military rice, but it was not extinguished and the castle fell. Even now, when you dig in the mountains, you can find grilled rice. Legend has it that if you feed this grilled rice to cows and horses, they will not get sick.
