Announcement of the Lecture "Looking into Lake Mashu"

On August 27th, a lecture titled "Looking into Lake Mashu: The Underwater World Revealed by Water Temperature and Water Quality Surveys" will be held at the Kawayu Visitor Center.

Lake Mashu, known for its high transparency, is recognized as a scenic spot representing Akan-Mashu National Park.
At the same time, it has gained attention as an indicator reflecting the impact of substances emitted into the atmosphere due to climate change and human activities, with continuous annual water temperature and water quality surveys being conducted.
In this lecture, we will reflect on how we have been addressing the water temperature and water quality surveys of Lake Mashu over the years and discuss the results obtained, while considering the future of Lake Mashu together.
