In the mid-Ashikaga period, a blind monk traveling through the area was killed and enshrined here, and the community has held a festival on his death anniversary
on March 28 at Yoshinonomiya Shrine
Locally, the festival is called "Zatō-san," and it has continued without interruption to this day.
