■■■What is Ontake Kagura?
The "Ontake Kagura" handed down in Kiyokawa Towns is said to be Kagura, which occurred in 1449 at the same time as the founding of Mitake Shrine.
Kagura, which has been passed down for a long time and follows this stream, has been transmitted to Ono, Naoiri, the southern part of the prefecture, and as far away as the Aso region. In 2007, it was designated as an "Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset" of Japan.
