I went there because the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall, a World Heritage Site, is lit up at night for a limited number of days. There was no wind and the reflection was very beautiful. It was built with the Pure Land of Paradise in mind, so it was truly a superb view.

Located in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, the World Heritage Byodo-in Phoenix Hall is an Amida hall built in the first year of Tenki (1053).
In autumn, it is lit up with the autumn leaves, and you can enjoy an even more beautiful appearance.
