Tsurui Village is a small village with about 2,500 inhabitants in eastern Hokkaido.
It is surrounded by the Kushiro wetlands, the largest in the Japan, and dairy farming is the main industry.

Tsurui Village has plenty of sightseeing spots where you can enjoy nature.
The Sechigawa River, where the Otowa Bridge rests, does not freeze even in the middle of winter, so early morning is the perfect time to see cranes resting in the river.

In addition, at Tsurumidai, which aims to protect the red-crowned cranes along Route 53, feeding is carried out only in winter. You can enjoy cranes watching from November to March.

Horse trekking (horseback riding) is available at Tsurui Dosanko Ranch, a facility where you can interact with Hokkaido horses all year round.

At the farm restaurant "Hearton Tree", you can not only enjoy lunch using local products, but also experience cheese making and cooking classes.
