Shodai-yaki pottery
Perfect for interiors and everyday tableware alike
Shodai-yaki, a pottery tradition passed down in Arao for about 400 years, is made from high-quality clay dug from the foothills of Mount Kodai, east of Arao City. Its style combines the high artistry recognized as a traditional Japanese craft with a rustic charm that enhances food and flowers, making these pieces very popular for daily use.
Alongside large plates and vases, you’ll find teacups and coffee cups in abundance. Find the piece that speaks to you.
