This time, we will introduce "Kawazu Kinomiya Shrine".
・ Customs that can be kept
God of worship: Sugihoko wakeno Mikoto
Grand Festival: The third Saturday and Sunday of October every year
History and Tradition: Sugi Tsukibetsu is the god of wood and fire, and it is said that if a believer neglects to eat "bird dedication and sake dedication" (the custom of not eating birds, eggs, or sake between December 18 ~ December 23 every year), it will cause fire. Legend has it that Sugi Betsumi was a great drinker, and when a fire broke out while he was dozing, many small birds put out the fire by raining down drops at once, so he stopped drinking alcohol as a punishment for this. It is a custom that is still continued locally. It is located in the back left towards the shrine of Raingu Shrine.
The camphor tree is said to be over 1,000 years old, and is a huge tree with a circumference of about 14 meters and a height of about 24 meters, and has been designated as a nationally designated natural monument.
