[Nakasendo Narai juku]
It is called "Narai Senken" because of the difficult Torii (shrine gate) pass in the Nakasendo one of the best, and it is the busiest Shukuba among the Kiso 11 inn. The towns has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and the appearance of the past remains strong, and the townscape of about 1 km along the Narai River is the longest Shukuba in Japan. In addition to preservation, the fact that it is a town where people still live is also an attraction of Narai juku.
