Preparations are well underway for the 12th Tsubetsu Ice Candle Festival, which will take place at Sansan-kan on Saturday, February 1.
Today, staff from the Tsubetsu Fire Station are making a kamakura and snow sculptures! The snow mound has hardened quite a bit, but their expert shovel work is shaping it into an impressive form. I hope the children will enjoy it.✨
Although we are facing less snow and warmer temperatures than usual, we are working hard toward the event with the cooperation of town residents.
This is Tsubetsu’s only winter event! Please look forward to it.😊
