The 39th On Take-ryu Kagura Taikai was held at "Kagura-no-Sato Noh Stage Park" in Kiyokawacho, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
This year, in addition to On Take Kagura and the Kiyokawacho Children’s Kagura Preservation Society, four other kagura troupes from inside and outside the city gathered to showcase their performances.
One of the highlights was the "Encounter Kagura." Three kagura troupes performed the same piece simultaneously on three adjacent stages. The opportunity to compare the different styles and music of each troupe is a unique enjoyment of this event.
On the day, many kagura fans visited the venue, making it a day to leisurely enjoy the performances of each kagura troupe.
