From today, the distribution of manhole cards printed with photos of local manhole covers has begun.
💡Manhole cards are a project by the Sewerage Public Relations Platform. They are produced in collaboration with local governments across the country as a communication tool to deepen understanding and interest in sewerage systems.
The manhole cover features the town tree, the Ezo-yamazakura (Ezo mountain cherry), as an accent and is designed with the D51 steam locomotive that played a central role in rail transport when the town flourished as a railway town.
