Happy New Year: New Year’s Castle Goshuin for the Year of the Snake 2025.01.09 / Last updated: 2025.01.09 The “Goshoin” castle seal—now a staple among castle goods—appears at Kuniyoshi Castle as the “Gosho-shuin.” Wakasa Kuniyoshi Castle History Museum will begin selling a New Year limited castle seal. It features a gold “snake” seal appropriate for the New Year of Reiwa 7. In keeping with Kuniyoshi Castle’s reputation as an impregnable fortress, the museum also offers a “Pass-the-Exam Version” stamped with the “Unfallen” seal for the upcoming exam season, as well as a “Castle Visit Commemorative Version.” For the start of the New Year, and for examinees, these make a fitting protective charm for success in exams.
