Cool Japan Video also publishes an article about Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Please take a look here if you like.
Obama Onsen, located in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is a popular tourist destination with many hot springs in Japan, and is attractive for its many gourmet foods nurtured by the fertile land and sea in the Unzen Shimabara area of Nagasaki, as well as the warm climate and rich natural scenery throughout the year. There are many day-trip hot springs (open-air baths) that can be easily used, and you can enjoy foot baths while looking at the superb view of Unzen.
The effects and efficacy of hot springs are neuralgia, rheumatism, muscle pain, sensitivity to cold, cuts, hemorrhoids, skin diseases, etc.
At the foot of Mt. Unzen, on the seaside overlooking Tachibana Bay, there are about 25 hot spring inns and hotels, and 3 communal baths, where you can take a bath while watching the spectacular sunset.
In addition, Obama Marine Park has plenty of hot spring facilities that you can easily enjoy, such as the 105-meter-long footbath (Hotto Futto 105), which is the longest in Japan.
There is a free water collection station in the hot spring town, and it is also used as water for daily life.
The standard gourmet of Obama Onsen is "Obama Champon".
There are about 20 specialty restaurants in Obama Onsen Town, but you can enjoy them everywhere from Western-style restaurants, Japanese restaurants, izakayas, and hotels.
