Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"!
This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video".
Today, I would like to introduce Kunihito Otsubo's post "Gorgeous Nijo Castle Gate".
The vivid shape is impressive.
Nijo Castle, officially named Nijo Castle in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, is a historic castle registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 (Heisei 6).
It was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1603 (Keicho 8) as a guardian and lodging place for the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and it is also famous as the place where the 15th shogun Keiki announced his return to power.
The castle is full of valuable historical heritage such as Ninomaru Garden (Special Place of Scenic Beauty) and Higashi Otemon (Important Cultural Property).
The Karamon gate at the entrance of the Ninomaru Palace is a highlight of the gorgeous carvings on the roof.
Various creatures such as shochiku plums, cranes, peonies, and butterflies are livelied.
The seasonal nature and events are also attractive.
Last year, "NAKED FLOWERS 2022 -Sakura-World Heritage Nijo Castle" was held during the cherry blossom season, and "NAKED FLOWERS 2022 Autumn World Heritage Nijo Castle" was held during the autumn foliage season, and a projection mapping show and light-up event were held.
